AIMI new product photography studio Guangzhou 1200 square metres

AIMI Visual Media is pleased to announce the opening of a new 1,200 square metre photography and video production facility in Guangzhou. The new studio brings our total production footprint to roughly 1,800 m² across two locations and significantly expands what we can offer brands shooting in China.

Why We Expanded

Over the last 18 months we've consistently been booked out three weeks ahead. Brands launching new collections were waiting longer than we wanted to make them wait, and we were turning down work that didn't fit cleanly into existing windows. The math was clear: we needed more capacity, not better scheduling.

What the New Space Includes

  • Four photography stages — two with 6m white-cyc seamless walls, one dedicated colour-cyc for editorial work, one tabletop product bay with permanent overhead rigging
  • Two video production stages with permanent grid, sound treatment, and motion control
  • A dedicated still-life prop room stocked with backgrounds, surfaces, glassware, and styling props that previously had to be re-sourced for every shoot
  • A model holding area and styling room with proper hair and makeup stations
  • A client viewing lounge with calibrated monitors for live tethered shoot review (remote brands can also dial in via secure stream)

Faster Turnaround for E-commerce Clients

The biggest practical change for clients: standard e-commerce shoots now move through production substantially faster. A typical 50-SKU apparel project that used to take 7-9 working days now ships in 4-5. The dedicated tabletop bay alone handles most of our small-product Amazon work without ever needing to break down a set between projects.

Investments in Sustainability

The new space was designed with energy and waste considerations in mind. All studio lighting is LED-based (no more hot tungsten swap-outs); HVAC runs on a smart-scheduling system; and we've partnered with a local waste-management firm to recycle the significant volume of paper rolls, gels, and packaging we go through each month.

Open for Bookings

The studio is fully operational from this week. Existing clients have already started shooting in the new space, and we have availability open for projects from mid-month onward. International brands shipping product to Guangzhou can also use the facility's secure receiving area — we'll inventory, unpack, and stage your products in advance so day-one of the shoot is productive.
