AIMI Visual Media produced a 70-second product video for the SAMAX multifunction bicycle trailer, a black-and-red carrier with mesh windows, reflectors, twin rear wheels, a swivel front wheel and an orange safety flag. Shot model-free on Canon 5D4 in our white-background Guangzhou studio at 1920×1080 and 25fps, it was delivered in five business days with one revision.

SAMAX commissioned a structure-led product film for its multifunction bicycle trailer: a black fabric cabin on a red frame, mesh ventilation windows, silver reflectors, two large rear wheels plus a swivel front wheel, a black push handle and a conspicuous orange safety flag. We shot it in our white-background studio, 70 seconds, 1920×1080 full HD at 25fps, no model, carried entirely by the product, its structure demonstrations and camera movement. Large negative space on the left of frame was reserved from the plan stage for the client’s titles and captions.

Creative Concept
Trailer buyers care about structure: how it folds, how it hitches to the bike, how the mesh windows breathe, where the safety features sit. We shot every structural point as a visible answer. Frame-to-cabin joints get close-ups, the tow coupling’s mechanism gets a near-range demonstration, mesh breathability reads through light and shadow, and the orange safety flag gets its own shot because parent buyers recognize that road-safety symbol instantly. The white studio strips away environmental noise so attention lands one hundred percent on the product’s construction.
Production
We shot on Canon 5D4 under the studio lighting system. A trailer is a large object for white-background work, so the backdrop paper was widened and positions moved back to give the product full breathing room. Lighting ran even-plus-layered: a large overhead softbox for overall level, strip lights on both sides drawing the frame’s outline, keeping black fabric deep rather than dull and the red frame saturated without drift. Camera movement circled for overall form and pushed in for structure: the swivel wheel’s rotation, the handle’s grip, the mesh weave, each detail with its own position.
Production Challenges
1. A large black fabric cabin can photograph as a flat black board. We rimmed the fabric with side-back light so the weave and stitching read inside the shadows. The black gains depth, with darks, mid-tones and visible detail instead of one dead mass. Lighting dark textiles is the critical step for this product type, and done properly the black has real texture.
2. Seventy seconds must ration time across many structure points. We allocated by buyer concern: folding and hitch connection take the most time, the safety flag and reflectors form their own segment, and wheels with mesh windows interleave between, all organized in a total-detail-total rhythm. Every point gets enough screen time to register without stretching the whole.
3. Shadows from a big product can dirty a white floor. We kept one very faint ground shadow to anchor the trailer and give it a sense of sitting on the floor, then cleaned stray reflections and clutter shadows in post. The result keeps the white field clean while the product reads grounded rather than floating.

Where the Film Lives
The film fits four placements: the structure section of e-commerce detail pages, where the fold and hitch demonstrations answer “is it easy to install” directly; the main-image video slot, where white-background professionalism stands out in the category; product video positions on cross-border platforms, where voice-over-free visuals adapt naturally to multilingual markets; and product material for dealer and group-buy channels. For overseas placement, add captions per target-market norms and check the platform”s current policies.
White background is not the absence of scene; it is total focus. For complex functional products, nothing competes with the structure, and every detail stands magnified. Scene films make people want; white films make people trust. A good detail page needs both, each doing its own job. — June, Product Photography Team Lead
Frequently Asked Questions
How is the SAMAX brand name handled in the film?
SAMAX is the client’s registered trademark, presented in the film per the brand’s VI materials, with capitalization and logo placement matching the official standard. We only take on properly authorized brand content, and the rules for mark usage are confirmed with the client before delivery.
Can the folding process be shot in one unbroken take?
Yes. Folding and unfolding are core selling points for this product type, so we shoot them to standard procedure in a single unbroken take, with no cut-together assembly. What buyers see is the real operation difficulty out of the box. The operator rehearses to fluency and the take runs once through.
Is the studio big enough for a trailer this size?
Yes. The studio keeps widened backdrop paper and pulled-back positions for large white-background products, and bicycles and trailers are mature setups for us. The product holds full breathing room in frame, and the left-side negative space the client reserved for captions was kept through the whole composition.
Will the black cabin photograph as a flat black board?
No. Side-back rim light outlines the fabric so weave texture and stitching appear inside the shadows, giving the black depth and detail. Lighting dark textiles is the key process for this product type; handled properly, the black reads rich rather than dead.
How much does a video like this cost?
Product videos at AIMI start from $200 per finished video. A structure-led scope like this one, including a clean version and eight structure stills alongside the master, is quoted against product complexity and the number of structure points. Send your product details for an itemized quote.
Can children or pets appear in the demonstration?
Yes, arranged according to your actual product positioning: child models for the child version with parents present throughout, or coordinated pet models for the pet version. This film was pure product display per the client’s requirement. Any shoot involving children follows strict safety and compliance procedures.
Can you deliver a version for cross-border platforms?
This film has no voice-over and ships with a caption-free clean version, so adding English selling-point captions prepares it for cross-border platforms. We recommend the brand confirms wording for multilingual captions, keeping function descriptions consistent with target-market norms, and checking the platform’s current policies before placement.
What is the timeline, and is rush delivery possible?
Standard turnaround is five business days from shoot to delivery, including one revision round. Rush scheduling can be coordinated, with delivery as fast as 48 hours; rush work rearranges slots and post resources, so confirm timing and cost with our team before committing.
Can a paired bicycle appear in frame?
Yes, a connected full setup explains usage even better. If you have a compatible bicycle, provide it with the product; if not, we can coordinate a prop bike at actual cost. Connected-state demonstration footage helps buyer decisions considerably for this category.
Can product stills be shot alongside the video?
Yes. The lighting from the white-background video session carries straight over to stills, producing structure detail shots and full multi-angle coverage in the same session. Combining stills with the video order is the most efficient route and completes the asset system in one build.
