AIMI Visual Media produced a 60-second TVC for Naixier skincare, a Guangzhou beauty brand, built on a laboratory narrative in 4K at 25fps. Researchers in lab coats, blue-white high-key grading, and controlled glassware reflections present formulation science, delivered in 8 business days.

Naixier sells to ingredient-reading skincare buyers, and the brief asked for a 60-second commercial that would run on the brand site, product detail pages, and beauty trade shows. The concept: show the research process instead of claiming effects. A modern lab, standard operating procedures, and texture close-ups of emulsion samples let viewers reach the professional conclusion themselves.

Creative Concept
In the ingredient-conscious era, credibility is scarcer than beauty. We set the strategy as laboratory narrative: a sterile research environment, standardized handling, and macro texture of the emulsion. Every frame shows evidence rather than praise, and the blue-white high-key grade reinforces the association with science and cleanliness.
Production
The set was a white lab bench with glassware, dressed to match a real R&D space. We shot on a Sony FX6 with the FE 24-70mm F2.8 GM at 4K 25fps. Key light was an Aputure 600D Pro through a softbox for the high-key base, an overhead LED panel evened out the top, and we locked color at 5600K so the blue-white grade stays pure. The on-camera researchers rehearsed the handling sequence 3-5 times before rolling: pick up the vial, inspect against light, log the reading.
Production Challenges
1. Glassware throws reflections from every angle. Test tubes and beakers pick up every fixture in the room. We repositioned lamps so the speculars form deliberate lines, put a polarizer on the lens for the non-metallic glare, and lit the liquid inside the vials with a narrow beam from behind, which is what makes the emulsion texture read on screen.
2. An all-white set clips in one stop. White coats, white bench, white walls. We exposed for the lab-coat highlights and closed down a third of a stop from there, then recovered the midtones in DaVinci Resolve so the fabric and the benchtop keep their separation.
3. Real R&D handling cannot be faked. Hands that have never held a pipette read wrong to any viewer in the category. The brand’s R&D advisor stood by camera and corrected the grip, the viewing angle, and the logging motion, and we ran 3-5 takes per setup to catch the natural one.

Where the Film Lives
The 60-second master sits on the Naixier brand page, the brand-story block of the e-commerce detail pages, and expo LED loops at beauty trade shows, with a cut reserved for distributor presentations. Key frames of the lab handling and emulsion texture were pulled as trust images for the detail pages.
In a white room, light is the only set decoration you have. The blue-white grade reads as science on screen because every highlight was placed, not found. — Garbo, Director of Photography
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does a skincare TVC take?
This project ran 8 business days: 3 for script and set confirmation, 1 shoot day, and 4 for edit and grade. Rush to 5 business days is possible with early script sign-off.
How is a 60-second TVC priced?
TVC productions are quoted per project. A 60-second laboratory narrative with set dressing, on-camera talent, and multi-version delivery is scoped line by line from your brief. Share the brief through the contact page for an itemized quote.
Can you film in our real laboratory?
Yes, and we recommend it. A real R&D space outperforms any set. We coordinate cleanroom access and equipment state in advance, formula-sensitive areas can be kept soft or out of frame, and we sign an NDA before the scout day.
Are the researchers on camera real staff?
Either option works. Real employees carry the most conviction and need rehearsal time; we can also cast actors and coach them through the standard procedures. In this project the brand’s R&D advisor directed the handling on set.
Can the video state product efficacy claims?
Only within your approved-claims list. We script efficacy wording strictly from the document your legal team has cleared, which is how the film stays usable across markets with different advertising rules.
What does the client need to provide?
Product samples, brand guidelines, the approved-claims list, and reference photos of your real lab if you want the set to match it. We handle casting, set dressing, and post.
What formats and versions do you deliver?
Standard delivery is MP4 in H.264 and H.265: 16:9 master for website and trade shows, with 30-second and 15-second vertical cutdowns on request. A ProRes 422 master MOV is included for future re-edits.
Who handles music and voiceover licensing?
Library music with commercial rights is included in the quote, and we record the voiceover to the approved script. A specific commercial track can be licensed by you or matched from the library.
