This lookbook sells a countryside autumn: bow ties, cable knits, quilted puffers, all in muted warm grades. Frame 1 runs a fence diptych, kelly green and mustard puffers with tartan-lined hoods leaning the rail above, navy puffer and rust corduroys seated below. Frame 2 moves to the stables: a navy fur-trim parka with red-and-cream polka-dot scarf layers, the boy petting a dark horse leaning from its stall window. Frame 3 pairs a stucco-wall lean with a red puffer seated on a vintage trunk in a dry paddock. Frame 4 closes tighter: a dusty navy diamond-pattern sweater and bow tie against a glossy red phone booth, the one color accent allowed to run hot.

Photography Challenges
1. A horse is not a prop. The stable frame depends on the animal's mood. The boy is placed at the window first, the horse is brought to him, and the petting frame shoots continuously while the horse settles, so the contact reads calm and real.
2. Muted grades can go muddy. Dormant grass, stucco and navy wool all sit in close mid-tones. The grade holds warm highlights and firm blacks separately, so the bow ties, polka scarves and corduroy rust keep their register inside the haze.
3. Diptychs must carry one light logic. Each pair shares sun direction and exposure; the divider lands on a fixed white strip, and both panels are color-matched so the two moments read as one afternoon.
4. Two boys, layered wardrobe. Bow ties, vests, shirts and parkas multiply dressing time. The order runs paired frames first while both models are fresh, solo studies after, and the phone booth portrait last as the light warms.
Our Approach
The fence diptych.
Frame 1 shoots the lean and the sit as a pair: green and mustard puffers converse on the rail above, the navy puffer and riding boots rest below; pasture bokeh keeps both panels in one field.
The stable diptych.
Frame 2 works the stall window: left panel leans the boy against the stucco looking up, right panel extends his palm to the horse's forehead; the white blaze and muzzle give the frame its gentle focal point.
The paddock diptych.
Frame 3 contrasts two energies: the wall lean with an outstretched pointing arm, then the trunk sit in profile; the red puffer is the collection's bright note and gets the quieter pose.
The booth portrait.
Frame 4 crops chest-up against the red booth jamb, rust wear left visible; the navy diamond sweater and bow tie hold the preppy register while the booth supplies the single saturated accent.
"On location with animals, place the child, invite the animal, and wait. The honest contact frame is worth ten directed ones." — Garbo, Director of Photography

Frequently Asked Questions
How is a countryside childrenswear editorial priced?
Location editorial sessions are billed from $800/day per photography team, with child model agency fees, location permits and animal handling itemized; the day returns a written per-project quote after a brief call.
Can you shoot with horses or other animals?
Yes. We work with stable handlers, place the child first and let the animal settle to him, shooting continuous frames while the contact is calm.
Why use diptychs in a lookbook?
Diptychs pair two moments of one story in a single asset, doubling narrative coverage without doubling page slots, and they match light and grade by construction.
What is the turnaround?
Standard delivery is 5-7 business days from shoot day, including retouching and diptych matching.
Who owns the images?
Your brand does, under a full commercial license covering catalog, marketplace, social and advertising use.
