A strong catalog page proves fit from every side without repeating itself. This six-frame set does it with one look: a long-sleeve shirt that pairs camel-and-white striped yoke and sleeves with a forest green body, over mustard chinos, finished with aviator sunglasses and a studded cuff. Frames 1 and 4 run as singles for the lead and profile slots; frames 2, 3, 5 and 6 run as diptychs that put front, back, side and seated reads side by side, so one scroll covers the garment. The beige upholstered set, book stack and floor lamp keep the register domestic and warm while the styling stays deliberate and cool.

Photography Challenges

1. Diptychs must align perfectly. Two panels read as one product story only if horizon, scale and color match exactly. Camera height, focal length and model mark are locked between panels, and the divider strip is placed in post on a fixed grid so pairs sit flush.

2. A busy set can steal the garment. Armchairs, pillows, books and lamps all carry texture. Depth of field is kept shallow and the model stands on the set's brightest lane, so the shirt's color-block panels stay the highest-contrast object in frame.

3. Pocket poses hide the placket. Hands-in-pockets styling sells attitude but buries buttons. The set alternates pocket frames with open-front frames, so the placket, buttons and chest pocket each get documented exposure.

4. Warm rooms push color cast. Beige upholstery bounces warm light onto the camel stripes. White balance is set on a grey card at the model mark, not on the room, keeping the forest green panel honest.

Our Approach

The lead single.

Frame 1 runs the three-quarter medium shot: sunglasses on, thumbs hooked at the pockets, shirt yoke and green body both visible; it anchors the listing's first slot.

The fit diptychs.

Frames 2 and 3 pair full-length front with side and back views, documenting shoulder yoke, striped sleeve run and shirttail hem; the back panel proves the color-block continues around.

The attitude diptychs.

Frames 5 and 6 add the walking rear view and the armchair perch, showing how the shirt and chinos move and sit; the perch frame doubles as the lookbook lifestyle image.

Post consistency.

All six frames grade to one warm register, diptych dividers align on the same pixel column, and skin, denim texture and print stay retouch-light for catalog honesty.

"Diptychs are the cheapest second angle in e-commerce. Lock the camera, move the model, and one setup pays for two views." — Garbo, Director of Photography

Frequently Asked Questions

How is a boys catalog session with diptychs priced?

Studio childrenswear sessions are billed from $800/day per photography team; diptych composites are quoted within the per-project scope, and single-look sets can price per image under our Growth tier from $35/image.

What is the advantage of diptych frames?

One locked setup returns two documented angles in a single image asset, doubling fit information per listing slot without doubling shoot time.

Can you style accessories like sunglasses and watches?

Yes. Styling props are planned to sell the garment's attitude while keeping every closure and panel visible on a documented rotation.

What is the turnaround?

Standard delivery is 5-7 business days from shoot day, including diptych compositing and grade matching.

Who owns the images?

Your brand does, under a full commercial license covering catalog, marketplace, social and advertising use.
