This session photographed the dinner suit both ways buyers search for it: three frames on a bright gradient cyclorama with a floor reflection for the clean catalog read, and two frames on a low-key charcoal backdrop for the evening register. Photography Challenges

1. Black suiting on white and on charcoal. The same tuxedo must hold lapel facing and button detail against a bright sweep and a near-black backdrop. The high-key frames meter on the shirt and let the suit fall naturally dark; the low-key frames add a rim so the silhouette separates from the charcoal.

2. Velvet lapels drink the light. Matte velvet facing reads as a black hole under flat frontal light. A soft raking key runs across the lapel so the nap catches a subtle sheen, separating velvet from worsted without specular glare.
