The client runs a cafe and needed a compact menu library: six frames covering iced coffee, fruit sodas, layered lattes and a plated dessert pairing. The set language is a warm cafe table with newspaper and tray props, kept consistent so the six items read as one menu. All 6 frames were shot at the AIMI Visual Media studio in Guangzhou, China.

Photography Challenges

1. Ice clouds and dies fast. Real ice clouds the glass and melts within minutes. The drinks are assembled with fresh ice per frame, and the glass exterior gets a glycerin mist so the condensation survives the setup time.

2. Layered lattes read only from the side. The milk gradation in a layered latte collapses if the drink sits too long. The pour happens on set against the locked camera, and the frame is taken inside the first minute.

3. Newsprint props date the frame. Newspaper props add cafe warmth but can pull focus with readable headlines. The paper is placed so the print blurs into texture, never into readable type.

Our Approach

Drink block.

Frames 01-02 and 04-05 run the drinks: iced coffee with its cream layer, fruit soda, the two-drink pair and the layered latte, each with fresh ice and condensation.

Dessert pairings.

Frames 03 and 06 bring in the plated chocolate dessert with the latte, then the tray pairing with newspaper for the menu cover option.

Post-production and delivery.

Retouching cleaned condensation drips at the glass bases, matched the warm cafe grade, and delivered 2000x2000px sRGB JPG plus WebP.

"Cafe drinks are a condensation budget: mist the glass, pour to order, and keep the newsprint blurred into texture." — June, Product Photography Team Lead
