The product is jujube walnuts: whole red dates stuffed with walnut halves, a classic Chinese snack sold in retail boxes. The frames had to prove the stuffing and the texture, so the set is a bamboo mat with scattered kernels, and the cut cross-section shows the walnut inside the date. All 8 frames were shot at the AIMI Visual Media studio in Guangzhou, China.

Photography Challenges
1. The stuffing must read in one glance. The walnut hides inside the date. The cut cross-section is sliced clean with a sharp blade and shot at a slight angle so the walnut half reads inside the red flesh.
2. Date skins wrinkle under heat. The dates sit under warm light for the shoot, and their skins can wrinkle. The session works in short blocks with fresh pieces rotated in.
3. Red on bamboo needs tonal separation. The red dates sit close to the bamboo tone. A slightly darker mat and a raking key pull the date edges into highlight so the pieces read as separate objects.
Our Approach
Pile and mat block.
Frames 01, 03 and 07 work the bamboo mat: the pile, the arranged rows and the overhead flat lay with ingredient props.
Cross-section proof.
Frames 02 and 04 go close: the cut jujube showing the walnut, and the skin texture macro.
Box and group closers.
Frames 05-08 finish with the single dish, the snack box and the range group.
Post-production and delivery.
Retouching held the red grade, cleaned loose fibers, and delivered 2000x2000px sRGB JPG plus WebP.
