The product is Ganhuangcao ripe tea in a wood canister with pressed tea cakes inside. The client needed a full packaging read, so the canister is shot from every side, then the cakes and the brewed cup prove the product. All 8 frames were shot at the AIMI Visual Media studio in Guangzhou, China.

Photography Challenges

1. Wood grain on white goes flat. The canister wood grain disappears under flat light. A raking key pulls the grain into relief so the material reads as real wood.

2. Pressed cake texture is the proof. The tea cake surface carries the leaf texture. A macro frame at f/16 keeps the whole cake surface sharp so the pressed leaf reads at zoom.

3. Every side must align in one catalog. The front, side and lid frames share one light map and one white ground, so the packaging read is consistent across the listing.

Our Approach

Canister walk-around.

Frames 01-03 and 07 walk the canister: front label, side panel, lid and seal detail, all on the same white ground.

Cake and brew proof.

Frames 04-06 open the canister, go close on the pressed cake and pair the cake with the brewed cup.

Group closer.

Frame 08 finishes with the canister, cakes and tea in one frame.

Post-production and delivery.

Retouching held the wood grain, matched the white ground, and delivered 2000x2000px sRGB JPG plus WebP.

"A packaging walk-around is one light map and four angles: keep the ground constant and the buyer reads the whole box." — June, Product Photography Team Lead
