The client was preparing a two-seat sofa with a colored outer shell and needed to decide the launch range and set styling before committing to a full shoot. One sofa design was visualized across three shell variants, mustard, sage and gray, each dressed on its own coordinated set with matching props, plus close crops for the seat and arm details. All frames were produced at the AIMI Visual Media studio in Guangzhou, China.

Design and Visualization Challenges

1. One silhouette, three personalities. Shell color changes the whole read of the design. Each variant gets a set built around its own value and hue, deep navy behind mustard, teal behind sage, warm brown behind gray, so every option is judged on its own terms.

2. Set color must support, not swallow. A saturated wall can eat the shell color it is meant to flatter. Wall values are held several steps from the shell, and small echo props like the matching lamp tie the scene together without splitting attention.

3. Variants must compare frame for frame. Range decisions fail when one option is flattered more than another. Camera height, crop and cushion dressing repeat across the wide frames, and the close crops take the same seat-and-arm section for each color.

Our Approach

Wide styled frame per variant.

Frames 01-03 present each shell color on its own set with coordinated props, so the range review reads like three finished listings rather than three swatches.

Matched close crops.

Frames 04-05 take the same seat and arm section on the mustard and sage variants, so cushion loft and shell curvature compare directly.

Range-review delivery.

The set ships as wide-plus-detail pairs per variant, the format the client used to lock the launch colors and brief the eventual production shoot.

"A colorway range is a decision, not a gallery. Give every variant the same camera discipline and the launch colors pick themselves." — June, Product Photography Team Lead

Frequently Asked Questions

How is a colorway visualization set priced?

Visualization scope is quoted per project, while the photography side of your launch follows our three packages: Essential from $12 per image, Growth from $35 per image and Premium from $80 per SKU. All rates are starting prices, and the final quote depends on your requirements.

Why visualize variants before the production shoot?

Because the range and styling are still open questions. Visualizing shell colors on coordinated sets lets you lock the launch line first, then photograph only the winning variants at full production quality.

Can the production shoot match the visualized sets?

Yes. The visualized frames double as the shoot brief: set color, prop echoes and crop are documented per variant, so the produced frames land where the approved visuals pointed.

Can we add white-background photos for marketplace slots?

Yes. Pure white-background shots for Amazon main image slots start from $12 per image under our Essential package. All final files are delivered at 2000x2000px sRGB, which exceeds Amazon's 1000px minimum requirement for the zoom feature, and include a full commercial license.
