AIMI Visual Media produced a one-minute brand film for Simon Qing, a fair-faced concrete craft service. Shot at 1920 × 1080, 25 fps, it moves from a dramatized pain point to a drip comparison experiment and closes on the company’s protection, recoloring, and reconstruction craft. Delivered in 7 business days.

Simon Qing sells a craft service: repairing the defects fair-faced concrete shows after demolding. The brief needed resonance with designers and contractors within seconds. We opened with the pain point acted out: a designer hurling drawings into the air inside a fair-faced concrete office. Then a drip comparison gives rational proof, and close-ups of bolt holes carry the promise. One minute forced the structure to maximum efficiency.

Creative Concept

For a craft-service brand, pain point first beats achievement first. The dramatized opening stages an industry-wide problem the target client lives with daily, so resonance lands within seconds. The drip experiment then persuades without jargon, since the shape of a water film on dense versus rough surfaces is the most direct evidence of high bond strength and low water absorption. The closing craft shots draw the service boundary in three words: protection, recoloring, reconstruction.

Production

The pain-point passage uses cool natural light, keeping the real texture of the concrete walls, and the drawing toss was caught with high-speed shooting across multiple takes. The experiment ran under studio-level control: a darkened background, directional light to catch the sheen of the water film, and a metered drip device fixing flow rate and landing point so both samples could be filmed together for a fair comparison. Craft close-ups sit in soft side light so pores and panel joints stay legible.

Production Challenges

1. A paper toss cannot be repeated. The scattering pattern of paper is never twice the same, so we shot the toss with high-speed capture over many takes and picked the one where the pages curl with the most tension. The drama had to be caught, not staged later.

2. Drip tests drift between takes. Water behaves differently every time, so we used a metered drip device with fixed flow and landing point, filming both samples in the same frame for a fair comparison. Repeatability is what makes an experiment believable to insiders, and a staged test would not survive their eyes.

3. One minute leaves no slack. Pain point, experiment, and craft promise had to interlock, so we storyboarded by the second and cut each emotional turn on the music’s beats. Not one frame idles; every second carries a task, which is what a one-minute runtime demands from the edit.

Where the Film Lives

The film runs on the brand website, loops at exhibitions, serves social distribution, and opens business meetings; one minute fits distribution scenes naturally, and the pain-evidence-promise loop holds even without sound. Before publishing on any platform, check its current content policies, since each channel sets its own rules for brand content. The loop also works muted, which suits exhibition screens and feed autoplay.

Say the client’s problem before your own advantage. Act the pain point, then prove the solution. One minute is enough for one complete persuasion. (Garbo) — Garbo, Director of Photography

Frequently Asked Questions

Is one minute enough for a brand film?

For social distribution and exhibition loops, one minute is prime length: pain point, evidence, promise, a closed loop. For deeper talks we pair it with a longer version. A short film competes on structural efficiency; every second has a job.

Isn’t a pain-point opening too negative?

A pain point is resonance, not disparagement. The designer throwing drawings acts out a shared industry problem; the target client sees their own daily reality, not negativity. Films that open with pain points generally hold completion rates better than achievement openers.

Is the drip experiment real?

Real footage of a real test: a metered drip device fixed flow rate and landing point, both samples shared the frame, and the difference in water-film shape appeared naturally. Staged experiments do not survive insider eyes.

What do protection, recoloring, and reconstruction mean?

They are repair crafts for demolding defects: protection treats the surface to extend its life, recoloring evens out color differences, and reconstruction is craft-level repair of damaged areas. An abstract craft must be translated into visible evidence on screen.

Was the foreign actor necessary?

That follows brand positioning. Here the designer role serves the pain-point narrative, and casting follows the target client’s expectations. A craft brand’s professionalism comes from scene and content; the actor is a narrative carrier.

How is a film like this priced?

Quoted per project, itemized from your brief: one-minute length, experiment shooting, and high-speed capture all shape the scope. Send your requirements through our contact page and we will return a concrete proposal.

What is the turnaround?

7 business days from script to delivery, covering planning, the shoot, and post-production with review. Even a one-minute film moves through the full pipeline; the short runtime compresses screen time, not the process.

Should the experiment carry data labels?

It depends on use. The picture version lets water-film shapes speak without stacked numbers; a technical version can add absorption parameters as subtitles. For designers and contractors, direct visual evidence beats a parameter table.
