suoao asked us for a promotional video for its internet TV that would work on e-commerce detail pages and on televisions in offline stores. The set direction was a modern light-luxury living room, showing how the screen settles into a home and sells both big-screen viewing and interior harmony. The target buyer is a quality-minded young to middle-aged consumer who wants appliances to disappear into a designed space.

Creative Concept

A television is a functional piece of decor, so we built the strategy on scene immersion and lifestyle suggestion rather than specs. The set used cream walls, champagne-gold trim, a fabric sofa, a glass coffee table and a crystal pendant lamp, with warm light, wine and an ice bucket hinting at an upgraded life. The TV plays gentle footage as the home entertainment center, and with no actors on camera, empty frames let viewers picture their own living room.

Production

We shot on the Sony A7M4 with the FE 24-70mm F2.8 GM at 4K 25fps. An Aputure 600D Pro simulated window light while LED strips, tunable between 3200K and 4300K, built the cove ambience. The television screen was covered with green or tracking markers on set and replaced in After Effects with the client’s footage, matched to the scene’s perspective. Where the set called for rendered elements, we used V-Ray with HDRI lighting, 4K texture detail and depth of field matched to a real lens.

Production Challenges

1. A TV screen reflects everything and its content has to be swapped. We covered the screen with green material or tracking markers during the shoot, then composited the client’s film content in After Effects, matching perspective and reflections so the replacement sits naturally in the room. Shooting the screen clean first beats fighting reflections later.

2. Rendered set pieces can look synthetic next to real footage. We rendered in V-Ray with HDRI environment lighting, pushed materials to 4K texture resolution, and matched the virtual depth of field to what the FE 24-70mm produces at comparable apertures. When blur falloff and light direction agree, the eye stops separating real from rendered.

3. Warm ambience falls apart when color temperatures mix. Every practical and LED source on set stayed inside a fixed 3200K to 4300K range, and DaVinci Resolve unified the final look into one warm-gold tone. That discipline keeps the lamp glow, window light and screen spill reading as a single designed space.

Where the Film Lives

The 60-second horizontal master runs on the suoao flagship store detail page, the official website product page, in-store experience-zone televisions and home expo screens. The 30-second vertical cut supports Douyin feed ads, WeChat Channels promotion and a pinned post on the brand’s Xiaohongshu account. We also exported key frames for the client to use as detail-page scene images and social media posters.

Appliance videos sell a scene, not a spec sheet: nobody buys a television, they buy movie night in a living room they love. Warm light, honest textures and empty frames invite the viewer in, but the illusion only holds when every color temperature agrees. (June) — June, Product Photography Team Lead

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does an appliance scene video take to produce?

On this project, script and scene confirmation took 3 business days, set building or rendering took 2 days, the shoot took 1 day, and editing plus grading took 5 business days, so delivery came in 11 business days total. An accelerated schedule of 7 business days can be discussed when booking.

How much does a TV promotional video cost?

Product videos at AIMI start from $200 per finished video. A project like this one, with a built set, screen content compositing and multiple deliverables, is quoted by brief once we confirm your scope, so send us your product details for an exact figure.

What do we need to provide for a TV shoot?

Send two televisions so we can pick the best unit, plus your selling-point list, brand VI guidelines, and the film content the screen should play, or authorization to use our library material. The screens should arrive tested, with no scratches and no dead pixels, since the camera sees everything.

Who writes the script, and how many revisions are included?

Our planning team writes the first draft, you send comments, and two revision rounds are free. From the third round, cost is assessed by scope. Settle the scene style and narrative rhythm at script stage, because rebuilding a set for reshoots is the most expensive fix there is.

Can you shoot in a home setting we specify?

Yes. Beyond a studio-built set we can shoot in real locations such as show flats, high-end residences or hotel suites, provided site permission and light conditions are confirmed in advance. Location work adds travel and venue costs, billed as incurred.

How do you put our content on the TV screen?

We shoot the screen covered with green material or tracking markers, then composite your footage in After Effects, matching perspective and ambient reflections. Supply the content at the highest resolution you have and we will handle the fit.

What platforms does the delivery cover?

You receive a 4K horizontal master for e-commerce detail pages, your website and in-store televisions, plus a vertical 9:16 cut for Douyin, WeChat Channels and Xiaohongshu. Files ship as MP4 in H.264 or H.265, with a ProRes 422 master MOV for archiving.

Can the living room set match our brand colors?

Yes. Walls, trim, sofa fabric and props are all chosen during scene design, and we send a set proposal for approval before building. Bring your VI guidelines to the script meeting and the set will follow them.

Do you deliver still images along with the video?

Yes. We export key frames from the 4K master that clients typically use as detail-page scene images and social posters. If you need dedicated product photography with retouching, we can quote that as a separate line in the same brief.
