HAENGNAM came to us with a transparent airtight food container set built around a “Push to Push” press-to-open lid, see-through walls and multi-size stackable storage, aimed at households that care about tidy kitchens and fresh ingredients. The deliverables were headed for e-commerce detail pages and social ad placements. We built the whole visual around freshness you can see: a white dining table, bright produce, and the clear boxes with their colored locking clips as the focus.

Creative Concept

A storage container sells two things: visible freshness and a sense of order. So the strategy was a bright kitchen with ingredients surrounding the product. A white table sets the base, colorful fruit and vegetables supply contrast, and the transparent bodies with colored clips become the visual anchor. No people appear; the combination of produce and product says fresh, healthy and tidy without a line of copy. For a Korean brand selling into Chinese e-commerce, that universal food language crosses markets without translation.

Production

We shot on the Sony A7M4 with the FE 24-70mm F2.8 GM at 4K 25fps, on a real modern kitchen set with a white table and a stainless double-door refrigerator behind. An Aputure 600D Pro through a softbox lit the boxes from 45 degrees behind and to the side for a translucent glow, while an LED panel filled the front so the lids did not flare. Produce was prepped two hours ahead, and lemon and lime slices were cut on set so the surfaces stayed fresh.

Production Challenges

1. Transparent plastic throws chaotic reflections. A polarizing filter killed reflections from the plastic surfaces, and we moved the key light until the remaining highlights formed clean directional strips. In DaVinci Resolve, power windows pulled down the few overexposed patches that remained, keeping the walls see-through without glare.

2. Produce stops looking fresh fast under lights. We split the shoot into stages: empty box combinations first, filled boxes second, the full scene last, and swapped fruit and vegetables every 30 minutes to keep color saturated. Slicing citrus on set rather than in advance preserved the cut surfaces.

3. Stacked boxes of different sizes wobble. We used clear acrylic supports inside the stacks and retouched them out in post, or followed the brand’s recommended stacking combinations so the towers were physically stable. A leaning stack reads as carelessness, which is fatal for a product selling order.

Where the Film Lives

The 14-minute 30-second horizontal master sits at the top of the HAENGNAM flagship store detail page, on the official website product page and on shelf-edge televisions in supermarkets. The 15-second vertical cut feeds Douyin feed ads, a pinned post on the brand’s Xiaohongshu account, WeChat Channels promotion and Moments ads. We also exported key frames for the client to use as detail-page selling-point images and social media posters.

For containers, freshness is the whole argument, and a clear wall full of colorful produce makes it better than any copy line. Bright light and a ring of ingredients is a proven recipe, but it only works if you police reflections and rotate the produce before it tires. (June) — June, Product Photography Team Lead

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does a storage product video take to produce?

On this project, script communication and confirmation took 2 business days, the studio shoot took 1 day, and editing plus grading took 3 business days, so delivery came in 6 business days total. An accelerated schedule of 4 business days can be discussed with our team when booking.

How much does a home storage product video cost?

Product videos at AIMI start from $200 per finished video. A project like this one, with food styling, a long demonstration master and a vertical cut, is quoted by brief once we confirm your scope, so send us your product list for an exact figure.

What do we need to provide for a container shoot?

Send 3 to 5 identical container sets so we can pick the cleanest, plus your selling-point list and brand VI guidelines. Boxes should arrive washed and polished, since fingerprints and scratches show under this lighting. Ingredients can come from you, or we purchase them and bill at cost.

Who writes the script, and how many revisions are included?

Our planning team writes the first draft, you send comments, and two revision rounds are free. From the third round, cost is assessed by scope. Confirm the order of selling points and timing per section at script stage, because reshoots cost more than an extra review.

Can you shoot in a kitchen we specify?

Yes. Beyond a studio build we can shoot in real locations such as brand experience stores, show flats or a user’s home, provided site permission and light conditions are confirmed in advance. Location work adds travel and venue costs, billed as incurred.

How do you keep tall stacks of boxes stable?

We either follow the brand’s recommended stacking combinations so the towers are physically stable, or brace them with clear acrylic supports from inside and retouch the supports out in post. A leaning stack undermines a product whose entire pitch is order.

What platforms does the delivery cover?

You receive a 4K horizontal master for e-commerce detail pages, your website and supermarket shelf televisions, plus a vertical 9:16 cut for Douyin, Xiaohongshu and WeChat Channels. Files ship as MP4 in H.264 or H.265, with a ProRes 422 master MOV for archiving.

Can you handle food safely and keep it looking fresh?

We prep produce two hours before the shoot, swap fruit and vegetables every 30 minutes under lights, and slice items like citrus on set so cut surfaces stay moist and bright. Tell us about special ingredients early so we can source them.

Do you deliver still images along with the video?

Yes. We export key frames from the 4K master that clients typically use as detail-page selling-point images and social posters. If you need dedicated product photography with retouching, we can quote that as a separate line in the same brief.
