AIMI Visual Media produced a 74 second emotional product video for the Pintong necklace brand, built around a young couple’s gift moment for e-commerce detail pages and social placement. Shot in 4K at 25fps with a 30 second vertical cutdown, delivery took 8 business days.

Pintong came to us with a necklace line aimed at buyers aged 18 to 30, where the real purchase driver is the feeling of giving and receiving, not the specification sheet. The brief covered holiday gifting and everyday wear, for detail pages and social feeds. We proposed a couple narrative: a bright, minimal living room, a gift passed hand to hand, the necklace appearing as the emotional carrier rather than the hero of a hard sell.

Creative Concept

Jewelry is an emotional purchase wearing a product’s clothes; buyers pay for the heartbeat of the gift moment and the confidence of wearing the piece. So we built the film around couple interaction rather than product parameters. High-key light and a fresh palette of pale blue, off-white, and lavender keep the mood romantic without luxury-distance. The necklace enters the frame inside the giving action, which is exactly where the target viewer, 18 to 30 and shopping for occasions, wants to imagine herself.

Production

We shot on the Sony A7S3 with the FE 50mm F1.2 GM on a Ronin RS3 gimbal, recording 4K at 25fps. The 50mm F1.2 gives a natural perspective for two-person interaction and melts the white-curtained background into softness at wide aperture. Lighting stayed high-key with an Aputure 300D II through a softbox, exposure pushed one and a half stops at 5600K, CRI above 97 to keep skin and metal tones clean. Macro close-ups of the necklace were shot separately and cut in as inserts, and the cast rehearsed hand positions so the product always landed in focus. Post combined Premiere Pro for the edit, DaVinci Resolve for the grade, and After Effects for motion graphics.

Production Challenges

1. A necklace is small, and small products drift out of focus or read as a blur. We shot dedicated macro close-ups of the necklace and cut them into the edit as inserts, so detail never depended on the wide two-shot. The cast rehearsed exactly where the product sits in the hand, keeping it inside the plane of focus on every take.

2. Staged couple chemistry is easy to spot and hard to forgive. We cast real couples or actors with genuine rapport, rehearsed three to five times before rolling, then shot long takes where the director never called cut. Free movement inside a rehearsed structure is what makes the gift moment read as a real instant rather than a performance.

3. High-key lighting fights skin tone. An ND filter held exposure in check so highlights stayed off the clip point, then DaVinci Resolve split the grade by region: keep the background bright, lift facial shadows, and unify skin tone across shots. Bright and flattering is a balancing act, not a preset.

Where the Film Lives

The horizontal master fronts Pintong’s e-commerce flagship detail pages, the brand story page on the official website, screens in offline stores, and mall advertising displays. The 30 second vertical cutdown runs as Douyin feed ads, a pinned post on the brand’s Xiaohongshu account, WeChat Channels promotion material, and Moments ads. Key frames from the master double as detail-page scene images and social posters, keeping one palette across stills and motion.

jewelry buyers purchase a feeling, so direct the moment, not the merchandise. Rehearse the hands until the product sits in focus on its own, then stop calling cut and let the couple forget the camera exists. — June, Product Photography Team Lead

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does a jewelry product video take?

This project ran 8 business days: 3 for script and casting confirmation, 1 studio shoot day, and 4 for edit and grade. Rush delivery can compress to 5 business days; confirm scheduling with our team before booking.

How much does a necklace product video cost?

Product videos at AIMI start from $200 per finished video, and a scope like this one, a 74 second master plus a vertical cutdown with cast and macro inserts, is quoted from your brief. Send the product line and platform list, and we return an itemized estimate.

What should we provide for a jewelry shoot?

Send three to five pieces of each design so we can select the best-finished ones, plus selling points, brand VI guidelines, and a target-customer profile. Clean every piece beforehand; fingerprints and oxidation read clearly at macro distances. Gift boxes are welcome on set.

Who writes the script, and how many revisions are included?

Our planning team drafts the script, and two revision rounds are free. From the third round, fees follow revision scale. Lock the emotional tone and interaction beats at script stage; changing the story after shooting means reshoots, which cost more than script time.

Can you shoot a location we specify?

Yes. Beyond the studio we shoot real settings such as cafes, parks, or streets, subject to venue permission and light conditions. Location work bills travel and venue costs as incurred, and we scout three days ahead to lock camera and lighting positions.

Can real people wear the jewelry on camera?

Yes, and for emotional jewelry films we recommend it. Worn by a person, a necklace gains scale, movement, and meaning. Model fees are quoted per project depending on casting requirements, and we rehearse wearing positions so the piece stays the visual focus.

How do you keep a small product sharp on screen?

Macro inserts. We shoot dedicated close-ups of the piece and intercut them with the interaction footage, so fine detail never depends on the wider shots. Rehearsed hand placement keeps the product inside the focus plane during the live takes.

Which platforms do the delivered versions fit?

The 16:9 master serves e-commerce detail pages, the website brand page, store screens, and mall displays. The 9:16 cutdown fits Douyin, Xiaohongshu, and WeChat Channels. Pulled key frames become detail-page images and posters, so one shoot covers motion and stills.

How do you direct couple interaction without it looking staged?

Cast people with real rapport, rehearse the structure three to five times, then shoot long takes with no cut calls so the performers relax into it. The best gift moments arrive between the planned beats, and long takes are how you catch them.
