AIMI Visual Media produced a 42-second e-commerce display video of a pink gemstone bracelet for a jewelry accessories client, shot in 4K at 25fps on a Sony A7S3 with a 90mm macro lens. A faceless model wears the piece in neck, collarbone, and wrist close-ups against a pure white background. Delivery took 6 business days.

The client needed detail-page and social assets for a light-luxury bracelet aimed at women aged 18 to 30: a pink gemstone pendant on a fine silver chain. Still photos could not carry the stone’s translucency or the chain’s cold shine. We chose restraint over decoration, building the whole piece on white space and tight worn close-ups so viewers could picture the bracelet on themselves, with the pink stone as the only color focus in the frame.

Creative Concept
Jewelry sells on the imagined moment of wearing it, so our strategy was white space plus close-ups. A pure white background removes every distraction, leaving only the play of light between gemstone and skin. The model never shows her face; neck, collarbone, and wrist fragments let viewers slip themselves into the frame. The pink stone stays the single color accent across the whole edit, which keeps a sweet, light-luxury tone aimed at 18 to 30 year old female buyers without any prop competing for attention.
Production
We shot on a Sony A7S3 with the FE 90mm F2.8 Macro G OSS, recording 4K at 25fps. Aperture stayed between f/2.8 and f/4, deep enough to keep the gemstone sharp while softening everything behind it. The key was an Aputure 300D II through a softbox in high-key, with white reflectors filling from both sides and exposure lifted one stop. Color temperature held at 5600K (CRI 97 or higher) so the silver chain kept its cold white shine. Hand and neck moves were choreographed small, a wrist lift or a slow turn, and we ran 3 to 5 takes per action. Edit in Premiere Pro, grade in DaVinci Resolve, motion accents in After Effects.
Production Challenges
1. Gemstone fire and translucency are hard to record faithfully. We raked the key light through the stone from 45 degrees behind and to the side, with a low-power frontal fill, so internal refraction read on camera. In DaVinci Resolve we lifted saturation and sharpness only on the stone, bringing out the refracted glow without fake light effects.
2. The fine silver chain kept dissolving into background highlights. We held background brightness half a stop below the product and traced the chain edges with a narrow beam, so every link stayed outlined against the white. The chain reads clean and separate instead of merging into the high-key field.
3. Skin texture and product sharpness pulled against each other. Skin areas got a light softening pass while the gemstone and chain were sharpened separately, with a masked transition between zones. The result keeps real skin texture and crisp metal in one frame, avoiding the plastic look of a global sharpen.

Where the Film Lives
The full landscape version runs at the top of the brand’s e-commerce flagship store detail page, on the official website product page, and on in-store and mall advertising screens. The cut versions serve Douyin feed ads, the pinned post on the Xiaohongshu brand account, WeChat Channels promotions, and Moments ads. We also pulled gemstone close-up frames for the detail page’s selling-point images and the main-image video cover.
Restraint is the hardest lighting setup. Take everything out of the frame and the product has nowhere to hide; for gemstones, one beam of transmitted light tells more truth than any filter ever will. - June — June, Product Photography Team Lead
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does a jewelry product video take to produce?
This project ran 6 business days in total: 2 days for script and creative confirmation, 1 day in the studio, and 3 days for editing and color. Rush delivery can compress the schedule to 4 business days; confirm the exact slot with our team before booking.
How much does a bracelet product video cost?
Product videos at AIMI start from $200 per finished video. A multi-deliverable project like this one, with a 4K master, on-model close-ups, and platform-specific cuts, is quoted by brief. Share your product and platform list and we will send a formal quote.
What do we need to provide for a bracelet shoot?
Send 2 or 3 bracelets so we can pick the pieces in the best condition, plus material and gemstone specifications, your brand VI guidelines, and a target customer profile. Wipe products before shipping to avoid fingerprints and oxidation marks; certificates help us identify selling points.
Can you really capture a gemstone’s fire on video?
Yes. Transmitted lighting through the stone combined with a macro lens records the internal refraction honestly. In post we only enhance saturation and sharpness moderately, never adding fake glow. Providing the stone’s material description helps us match the best lighting scheme.
Can we shoot the product only, without a model?
Yes. A product-only setup uses a still table and turntable and costs less. That said, jewelry categories usually convert better with wearing shots, so we suggest keeping at least one wrist or neck sequence. The budget can be combined to fit your needs.
Can we use our own model?
Yes. Provide hand and neck photos in advance so the director can judge on-camera results, and on shoot day the model follows our movement direction. Bringing your own model removes that fee from the quote; portrait licensing stays with you.
What formats do you deliver, and which platforms do they fit?
Standard delivery is MP4 (H.265): 16:9 landscape for detail pages, the website, and store screens, plus 9:16 vertical for Douyin, Xiaohongshu, and WeChat Channels. A ProRes 422 master MOV is available for your own re-editing.
Who handles music licensing?
We select tracks from a licensed music library with commercial rights included in the quote. If you want a specific song, you secure the license or we replace it with a similar library track. Fonts, stock, and effects follow the same licensed-library rule.
Can the schedule be rushed?
Yes. The standard 6 business days can compress to 4. Holiday gifting peaks like Valentine’s Day, Qixi, and Christmas fill the jewelry schedule fast, so start about 2 weeks early to leave room for revisions and reshoots.
How do remote clients work with you?
Everything runs online: scripts are revised together in shared documents, lighting schemes confirmed through reference images, and finals delivered by cloud drive. Jewelry ships by insured express with round-trip freight on us. About 30 percent of our clients are outside Guangzhou.
