AIMI Visual Media produced a 54-second advertising video for a functional insole brand, combining a sunrise city aerial with studio product photography. Shot on a Canon 5D Mark IV with a macro lens and softbox lighting at 5500K, the 1920x1080 master was delivered in 5-7 business days with clean and segment versions.

The client was not chasing low-price volume; they wanted a promotional piece with real brand narrative behind it. For a small, easily overlooked product like an insole, we argued for scale first: open on a city at sunrise, river and towers layered in morning haze, then drop to the product. A higher-priced item needs its brand confidence established before anyone believes the function claims that follow.

Creative Concept
The structure rises then settles. The aerial section carries the emotion: sunrise over the river, the city opening up, graded with a warm-to-cool contrast between orange skylight and blue-grey towers so the opening reads cinematic even on a phone. The product section answers the three questions buyers actually ask about insoles: is it soft, does it support, does it breathe. Each question gets one group of shots, so the function story feels earned rather than listed.
Production
The aerial section set the tone; the studio section did the selling. Surface texture and stitching were captured with a macro lens, while hands pressed and bent the insole on camera so rebound speed became visible proof of cushioning. A side backlight traced the arch curve, and a softbox raked across the surface at a low angle to give the flat product sculptural relief. We locked 5500K all through and matched materials to the physical samples, because color drift reads as cheap on a functional product.
Production Challenges
1. Aerial grandeur and clean studio tones could have split the film in two. We ended the aerial sequence on the sun and open skylight, letting natural light hand over to the softbox look. The viewer’s eye follows the light itself across the cut, so the mood carries through and the transition feels intentional rather than abrupt.
2. Support and cushioning are claims you cannot see. We translated them into actions a buyer can watch: hands press the foam, bend it, and let it rebound. Rebound speed and bend arc are physical evidence a buyer trusts more than any caption, and those demonstration shots later became the client’s strongest detail-page material across the entire listing afterwards.
3. A small product photographs cheap if you let it. We dropped the camera low, opened the depth of field and left large areas of clean background around the insole. Scale on screen is a compositional decision, and the close-ups give a palm-sized product real presence and confidence on screen.

Where the Film Lives
The 54-second landscape master fits the brand website, e-commerce detail pages and distributor presentations, where the aerial opening adds weight on official channels. The function segment cuts down cleanly for short-video seeding on Douyin and WeChat Channels, since the press-and-rebound shots suit vertical formats. For cross-border listings, functional claims about support should follow each target market’s labeling rules, so we recommend multilingual subtitle versions. The aerial material keeps working in brand films, trade show backdrops and social covers.
June: Big shots are the cheapest trust a small product can buy. Establish the skyline first and the insole inherits the scale; skip it, and a palm-sized item must carry the brand on texture alone. — June, Product Photography Team Lead
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does an insole or footwear accessories video cost?
Product videos at AIMI start from $200 per finished video. A brand film like this one, combining aerial footage with studio product work and multiple deliverables, is quoted against your brief. Share the product materials and our team returns an itemized quote the same day.
How long does a video like this take?
This project was delivered in 5-7 business days, covering script, the studio shoot day and post-production. Aerial material and extra deliverables can shift scheduling, and we confirm exact dates with you before the booking is locked.
Is an aerial opening worth it for a small product?
It depends on positioning. For low-price volume lines, a clean product video is enough. For brand-led, higher-priced lines, the opening scale builds buyer trust, and the aerial footage is reusable across brand films, trade shows and social covers.
How do you film support and cushioning claims?
We demonstrate instead of stating: hands press, bend and release the insole so rebound speed and arch curve read on camera. Physical evidence convinces buyers faster than parameter captions, and the same clips feed your detail pages.
Will the materials look true to the real product?
Yes. We lock a 5500K standard color temperature through the studio section and grade against physical samples. On functional products, color drift reads as low quality, so material accuracy is treated as a hard requirement, not a preference.
Can the aerial footage be used elsewhere?
Yes. The aerial material from this project was cleared for the client’s other brand content, from promotional films to trade show backdrops and social covers. One shoot can serve several channels, which spreads the cost of the flight day.
What exactly do you deliver?
The full 54-second master, a clean version without captions and each section as a standalone clip, so detail pages, social cuts and presentations are all covered without a re-edit. The aerial selects are included for broader brand use.
Can you adapt the video for overseas markets?
We prepare multilingual subtitle versions for cross-border listings. Functional claims for insoles differ by market, especially in Europe and North America, so check each platform’s current rules and we will align the caption wording before delivery.
