AIMI Visual Media produced a 35-second commercial for Eleser, a European imported children’s toothpaste brand built around fruit flavors and a gentle formula. The horizontal 480×276 standard-definition piece was shot on Canon 5D4 in our Guangzhou studio against a white background, composited with the brand’s lion mascot, and delivered in five business days with one revision round.

The brief came from a mother-and-baby brand: Eleser, a European imported children’s toothpaste sold on fruit flavors and a gentle formula. The buyer is the mother, the user is the child, and the film had to satisfy both. We chose the category’s proven cute route: the client’s lion mascot at center, eyes closed in a smile, hugging a strawberry while brushing, with oranges, strawberries and ladybugs around two tubes arranged front and back. No on-camera talent; a well-designed mascot is steadier and more efficient than an unpredictable real baby.

Creative Concept

Thirty-five seconds split into three beats: mascot reveal, flavor and formula points, then a product-display finish. Selling-point captions appeared in layers: “organic strawberry and orange flavor”, “safe to swallow”, “makes kids love brushing”. The white background with the red-orange tube artwork echoes the cartoon, and the grade stayed in the category’s safe range: bright, moderate saturation. The goal was a fast first impression in mother-and-baby channels: kids like it, mothers trust it. Every claim came verbatim from the client’s product documents; nothing was added.

Production

We shot the two tubes on Canon 5D4 under large softboxes for even illumination, keeping the white tube bodies clean rather than gray and the red-orange print at full saturation. Angles, spacing and front-back relations were set to the millimeter, with tube artwork square to the lens and undistorted. The mascot and fruit elements were composited under one unified light position, shadows running the same direction, perspective computed from the real arrangement. The pale purple circle behind the mascot was graded to blend into the white with no hard edge, and caption type sizes were designed for phone readability.

Production Challenges

1. A white tube on a white background can lose its outline. We added an extremely narrow rim light on each side of the tube, leaving a soft gray transition along the edges, then cleaned the background to pure white in post. The tubes read bright and clean with boundaries intact, which is basic discipline for white-background mother-and-baby work.

2. Cartoon elements had to sit convincingly inside live footage. If the mascot and fruit elements carry different light and shadow than the tubes, the composite looks fake. We rendered every element under a single unified light position, kept shadow directions consistent, and calculated perspective from the real product arrangement, so graphic and photographed parts share one believable space.

3. Selling-point wording in this category leaves no room for improvisation. Claims such as “safe to swallow” were reproduced verbatim from the client’s product documents, with filing and test reports as the boundary. Platforms review mother-and-baby content strictly, so we added nothing beyond the provided materials, and all caption copy went on screen only after client confirmation.

Where the Film Lives

The film runs in four placements: the selling-point section of e-commerce detail pages, where the mascot builds instant category recognition; the main-image video slot, where 35 seconds and a brisk pace suit mobile browsing; mother-and-baby content channels, where the “makes kids love brushing” angle carries built-in resonance; and screens inside offline mother-and-baby stores. Advertising rules for this category differ by platform, so we advised checking current policies before paid placement.

In mother-and-baby work, restraint outranks cleverness. Mothers are quick to sense being marketed at, so clean frames, sourced claims and measured sweetness build more trust than any flashy idea. Cute but clean, with points made and never inflated: that is the passing grade. — June, Product Photography Team Lead

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you keep ad copy compliant for mother-and-baby products?

Three rules. Efficacy and safety claims follow the product’s filing documents and test reports, and we only write what the client’s materials contain. We avoid absolute wording. For imported products, origin and certification information is presented exactly as the supporting qualifications state, and we recommend checking each platform’s current policies before placement.

Did you design the lion mascot, or did the client provide it?

The lion mascot is the client’s brand asset, and we executed the shoot and compositing according to their brand materials. If a client needs a mascot designed from scratch, our partner design team can take it on as a separate engagement, with the style direction approved before video production begins.

Will a white tube disappear against a white background?

No. The fix for white on white is a narrow rim light on each side of the tube, leaving a soft gray transition along the edges, with the background cleaned to pure white in post. Clean whites and crisp outlines can coexist; that is standard technique for this category.

Is 35 seconds enough to explain the selling points?

For mobile mother-and-baby browsing, 35 seconds is friendly to completion rates. The three points (flavor, formula, brushing habit) appear in layers, one group of images and one caption each, so the information rhythm stays comfortable. Detailed ingredient and qualification content belongs in the detail page’s text and images.

How much does a product video like this cost?

Product videos at AIMI start from $200 per finished video. A multi-deliverable scope like this project, with a captioned master, a clean version and cartoon compositing, is quoted against the actual brief and workload. Share your product list and channel plan, and we will itemize a detailed quote.

Can claims like “safe to swallow” be used directly?

We present such wording verbatim from the client’s product documents. Claims involving formula or safety stay within the boundaries of test reports and filing records, and we add nothing beyond them. If you want a new claim of this kind on screen, we recommend confirming the qualification documents first.

Can sibling products like toothbrushes be shot in the same session?

Yes, and we recommend it. The same mascot and visual system across a product line gives the store and detail pages a coherent look, and buyers form a more complete brand impression. Series products can share one shoot slot, which keeps per-piece costs sensible.

Can you make a vertical version for Douyin?

This film was composed horizontally with the mascot centered, so a vertical recut would need real restructuring rather than a crop. If vertical placement is planned, we advise designing a 9:16 version alongside production, with captions and arrangement rebuilt for vertical logic.

What is the production and delivery timeline?

Standard turnaround is five business days from production to delivery, including one revision round. Rush scheduling can be coordinated when needed, with delivery as fast as 48 hours. Rush work rearranges slots and design resources, so confirm scheduling and cost with our team first.

How is the “European import” status presented?

We present it according to the import qualifications and origin documents the client provides, and captions only carry information backed by paperwork. Import status is a trust bonus in this category, but it must be exact: which country, which certification, matching the documents, with nothing vague.
