This assignment documented the administrative side of a large hospital: the spaces where the institution decides, teaches and receives. The boardroom opens the set, a boat-shaped polished table on axis with the projection screen. The VIP lounge and the plenary auditorium carry the reception and assembly stories, one intimate, one at full scale. The training room and the open-plan workroom show where staff learn and work, both shot centered to keep the desk and chair rows honest. The tower exterior closes the set: the curved glass facade from a low angle, tying the interiors to the building the city actually sees.

Photography Challenges

1. Polished tables mirror the ceiling. The boardroom table doubles every downlight. Camera height is set so reflections read as a clean band, and the wood finish holds detail at full size.

2. Auditorium scale needs a center line. A few centimeters off-axis tilts the whole seat grid. The frame is squared to the aisle centerline and checked against the seat rows before exposure.

3. Office daylight fights interior warm. The workroom window wall brings cool daylight into warm ceiling light. Balance is set per zone so the skyline stays blue and the interior stays warm, without a grey compromise.

4. An exterior that must match inside. The tower frame is timed for the sky and facade light that suits the interior grade, so the set reads as one institution indoors and out.

Our Approach

Head-of-table position.

The boardroom is shot from the chair authority position, the view every attendee presentation is designed for.

Reception at guest eye level.

The VIP lounge frame sits at seated height, showing the room as a received guest actually reads it.

Rooms squared, rows aligned.

Auditorium and training room hold strict one-point discipline; repeated seating punishes any drift.

Exterior as the signature.

The curved tower is shot low and symmetric so the facade sweep reads clearly, closing the set with the public face of the institution.

"Administration floors are where a hospital shows its standards. Photograph them with the same discipline the boardroom table demands." — Garbo, Director of Photography
