The client sells plush steering wheel covers in several winter colorways, from solid browns and creams to a leopard-band accent version. The brief asked for driver-view install frames that show the fit on the wheel and the texture of the pile. All four frames were photographed at the AIMI Visual Media studio in Guangzhou, China.

Photography Challenges

1. Faux fur flattens under direct light. Short-pile plush loses its depth when lit square-on. A soft source raking across the wheel from the window side keeps every pile direction visible, so the cover reads warm and thick rather than printed on.

2. The wheel badge is not the product. A crisp vehicle logo at the center of every frame pulls attention from the cover. The wheel is dressed so the badge reads neutral, keeping buyer focus on pile, fit and colorway.

3. Colorways must compare from one seat. Four colorways from four angles would be impossible to compare. Every frame is shot from the same driver position with the same crop, so only the cover changes between images.

Our Approach

Driver-view install frames.

All four covers are photographed fitted on the wheel from the driver seat, with the dash and vents as fixed scale context, the way the buyer will actually see the product.

Colorway walk.

Frames walk the line from dark brown to cream, leopard band and gray, with framing locked so each variation listing gets an identical install proof.

Texture-first lighting.

The key light rakes across the pile at a low angle, trading a little cabin brightness for fur texture that survives marketplace compression.

"A steering cover is a touch product sold through the eyes. If the pile reads thick in the photo, the listing has already won the first click." — June, Product Photography Team Lead

Frequently Asked Questions

How is a wheel cover colorway set priced?

In-car styled frames like these sit in our Growth package from $35 per image, white-background versions start from $12 per image under Essential, and full A+ Content sets start from $80 per SKU under Premium. All rates are starting prices, and the final quote depends on your requirements.

Can you keep the vehicle logo out of the frame?

Yes. Wheels are dressed so the factory badge reads neutral, keeping the composition on your cover and away from vehicle branding your listing does not sell.

Can every colorway share one camera position?

Yes. The camera stays fixed at the driver seat and covers are swapped on the wheel, so unlimited colorways compare frame by frame.

Can we add white-background versions for main image slots?

Yes. Pure white-background shots for Amazon main image slots start from $12 per image under our Essential package. All final files are delivered at 2000x2000px sRGB, which exceeds Amazon's 1000px minimum requirement for the zoom feature, and include a full commercial license.
