The product is a yeast collagen skincare range built on a lab-formulated claim: freeze-dried powder and solvent vial kits, a pump lotion, and repair sheet masks, all in white and lavender clinical packaging. The brand needed imagery that proves the science-led positioning without showing a face or a lab coat. All 7 frames were shot at the AIMI Visual Media studio in Guangzhou, China, staged with real laboratory glassware tinted to the brand's lavender accent.

Photography Challenges
1. The science claim has to be shown, not said. A yeast collagen range lives on a formulation story, but there is no lab and no scientist in the brief. We staged real laboratory glassware — flasks, petri dishes, a pipette with a suspended droplet — tinted pale lavender to match the brand, so the science is read from the set itself.
2. Clear glass props fight clear glass products. Vials, flasks and dishes all mirror the studio at once; uncontrolled, the frame becomes a map of white streaks. The softbox array was positioned to give each glass surface one clean gradient, and a polarizer trimmed the overlapping reflections between product and prop.
3. White packaging, white plinths, near-white set. The range's matte white boxes and the stepped display plinths merge into one block under flat light. We kept a soft gradient across the sweep and let each plinth edge fall off by half a stop, so box, plinth and set separate by shading instead of outlines.
4. Small vial labels must survive next to big packaging. The range mixes a 100g lotion bottle with 5ml-class vials; one framing choice makes the vials unreadable or the box cramped. Stepped plinths bring the small vials to the front plane, and the 100mm macro at f/11 holds label sharpness from the tallest box to the smallest vial.
Our Approach
Laboratory scene staging.
Frames 1-3 build the science world around the kits: the outer box tilted on a stepped plinth with both vials displayed, a pipette caught mid-drop over an open vial, and the freeze-dried pair arranged with flask, beaker and petri dish. Every liquid prop is tinted the brand's lavender, so the set and the packaging speak one color language.
Range and packaging groups.
Frames 4-7 pull back to the full range: the 100g lotion with its pump cap off and a texture swatch in front, the complete set with vials, masks and outer box on risers, and the five-pack mask box beside its single sachet. Each group is staged so a buyer can count what is inside the kit without reading the copy.
Post-production and delivery.
Retouching cleaned glassware water spots and vial fingerprints, kept the lavender tint identical between prop liquid and brand accents, and graded the 7 frames to one cool, high-key family. Delivered as 2000px sRGB JPG plus WebP for brand pages and marketplace galleries.
"Lab glassware is not decoration here. It is the answer to the buyer's first question about a freeze-dried kit: is this formula actually precise." — June, Product Photography Team Lead

Frequently Asked Questions
What does a lab-styled skincare session like this cost?
Styled creative frames start at $35 per image under our Growth package, so this 7-frame set runs about $245 including laboratory prop styling and retouching. White-background versions of the same SKUs can be added at $12 per image under Essential. All rates are starting prices; the final quote depends on your requirements.
How long does a 7-frame range session take?
This set was delivered in 6 business days, inside our standard 5-7 business day window: days 1-2 for glassware styling and light tests, one shoot day for all 7 frames, and the rest for retouching.
Can these frames be used on Amazon?
Yes, in the slots they are built for: secondary gallery images, A+ Content, Storefront and social. Amazon main images require a pure white background, and we add compliant white versions of the same SKUs in the same session at $12 per image, delivered at 2000x2000px sRGB.
How do you make a science claim visible without a real lab?
With real laboratory glassware staged as the set: flasks, petri dishes and a pipette caught mid-drop, all tinted to the brand's accent color. The buyer reads "lab-formulated" from the scene itself, and no fake laboratory location is needed.
Can you show what is inside a multi-piece kit?
Yes. The kits are staged opened and counted: both vials out of the box on stepped plinths, the mask box beside its sachet count, the lotion with its cap off and a texture swatch. A buyer can see the full contents without reading a line of copy.
Do you supply the laboratory glassware?
Yes. Flasks, beakers, petri dishes, pipettes and stirring rods come from the studio prop library, and the liquid inside is tinted on set to match your brand palette at no extra cost.
