Three-Piece Skincare Gift Set Product Photography

The product is a three-piece skincare gift set: a 100ml amber treatment bottle with a chrome cap, two 300ml matte black pump bottles, and three cream retail boxes with black trim. The client wanted one quiet-luxury hero frame for their website and gift campaigns, with the packaging shown as part of the product. The frame was styled and shot at the AIMI Visual Media studio in Guangzhou, China, and delivered under a full commercial license.

Photography Challenges

1. Three heights, one hero. The 100ml treatment is the smallest bottle and the highest-margin item, so the grouping has to crown it: the amber bottle rises rear-center on a hidden riser as the tallest line, the two pumps flank it lower, and the cream boxes build the tiers underneath.

2. Matte black on white without mud. Overfill a white set and the black bottles go gray, underfill and they crush into holes. Exposure is set for the backlit white sweep first, then black flags pull thin clean edges onto the bottles so they read as solid objects.

3. Chrome and gold in the same frame. Chrome caps run cool and the vase runs warm, and mixed metal temperatures look accidental. The key light stays neutral at 5500K so the chrome reads clean, and the gold vase stays warm because it is warm, not because the light shifted.

4. Boxes must read as packaging, not props. The cream boxes share the bottles' black-trim design language, so one lies flat as a plinth, one stands behind the group, and one leans against the right pump, making the set read as a retail gift box instead of bottles on a shelf.

Our Approach

Tiered hero composition.

The amber 100ml bottle stands rear-center at full height, the two 300ml pumps sit lower left and right, and the boxes step the eye up to the hero. A 50mm prime at f/8, 15 to 20 degrees above the tabletop, keeps every bottle and box edge sharp, and perspective is corrected so all verticals run true.

High-key lighting with soft shadows.

A large softbox works front-left while the sheer curtain behind the set is lit to a seamless white, and a front-right fill keeps the tabletop shadows faint and soft-edged. Black flags just out of frame return clean edges to the matte bottles.

Props that hold up the story.

The brushed gold vase with a single monstera leaf fills the upper-left negative space and echoes the amber warmth, while the open book and small succulent scale the set to a vanity or desk. Nothing enters the frame without a job.

Post-production and delivery.

Retouching trued the box verticals, matched the gold print to the physical bottles, and kept the white sweep clean without flattening it. Delivered as 2000x2000px sRGB JPG plus WebP.
