A glass kettle sells transparency, so the liquid inside does the talking. The session staged three contents, clear water, dark tremella soup, golden fruit tea, each with matching food props on a light kitchen set. The final frame brought in a hand to lift the infuser basket, turning a static product into a demonstration.

Photography Challenges

1. Hot liquid waits for nobody. Tremella soup clouds as it sits and tea darkens by the minute. Each fill was prepped off set, poured, shot and replaced within a tight window, so the contents photograph at their best color rather than after an hour under the lights.

2. Glass shows everything, including the set. The clear body refracts curtains, shelves and lights behind it. The background was styled knowing it would appear distorted inside the pot, and stray bright objects were moved until the refractions read as pleasant kitchen blur.

3. A hand that helps, not hijacks. The infuser frame needed a real hand for credibility, but skin tone and a stray sleeve can pull focus from the product. The hand enters from frame edge, grips the lid handle naturally, and focus stays locked on the infuser basket.

Our Approach

Contents styled like food photography

The tremella soup and fruit tea were prepared by the styling kit with fresh garnishes per fill. A kettle full of tired soup reads as a prop; a fresh pour reads as lunch.

Background designed for refraction

Soft-focus sheer curtains, a shelf edge and a vine were placed to appear attractively through the glass. The set was composed twice: once for the frame, once for how it bends inside the pot.

Human presence at minimum dose

One frame, one hand, one clear action. The demonstration shot answers how the infuser works and then the gallery returns to the clean product world.

"With transparent products the set is never behind the product, it is inside it. Style the room for the refraction as carefully as for the frame, and the glass stops being a liability." — June, Product Photography Team Lead

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you style food or drink contents for appliance shoots?

Yes. Our styling kit prepares fresh contents per setup, and we shoot each fill within its color window. Soup, tea and infused drinks all photograph differently, and each gets its own garnish and timing plan.

How do you keep glass products from showing the studio?

By styling for refraction. The background is arranged knowing it will appear inside the glass, and stray highlights are flagged or moved. The goal is a pleasant blur inside the product, not a map of our lights.

Do lifestyle frames work on marketplaces?

They fill secondary gallery slots and social. The white-background main image handles compliance; scene frames like these carry the story, the scale and the use case.

A transparent product with a story inside?

Send it with your recipe list. We will style the contents fresh, design the set for the glass, and shoot the demonstration frame that closes the sale.
