Five frames across a coordinated beauty device line: a countertop facial steamer in three states, a pocket nano sprayer and a microcurrent eye pen, all sharing the brand white and berry-red design language on one sweep, all at one matched brightness.

This line was designed as a family, and the photography had to prove it. The steamer was shot open, fronted and closed to document its states; the sprayer and eye pen joined at matching angles and light, so all five frames carry the same gloss white surfaces and berry-red accents at identical brightness.

Photography Challenges

1. Gloss white that grays on white. High-gloss white housings disappear against a white sweep under flat light. A defined key direction and groomed contact shadows kept the bodies bright but separate, with edge reflections drawing the silhouettes.

2. Berry red that drifts between devices. The accent red is electroplated on one product and printed on another, and it photographs differently on each. Frames were compared on set against the physical units so the brand red lands identically across the line.

3. A pen that must stand alone. The eye pen is a chrome wand with no flat side. It was stood vertically on a hidden support with its reflection groomed beneath, turning the smallest product into the line’s jewelry frame.

Our Approach

State-based coverage for the hero product

The steamer was shot open, fronted and closed, so the gallery answers what it is, how it is used and how it stores without a word of copy.

Line-wide color verification

Physical units sat on set as references, and each frame was checked against them. Family color across different materials is a capture discipline, not a retouch hope.

Jewelry treatment for the small piece

The chrome pen got vertical presentation, a hidden support and a groomed reflection: the full prestige treatment scaled down to five inches.

"A device line has a design language, and the photography either speaks it or breaks it. Match the light, the angles and the brand color across every unit, and five separate products become one family on the page." — June, Product Photography Team Lead

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you keep a brand color consistent across different products?

Yes. The physical units stay on set as references and each frame is checked against them at capture. Plating, print and plastic all render color differently, so matching is done in the light, not left to post.

How do you photograph gloss white products on white?

With a defined key direction, edge reflections and a groomed contact shadow. The body stays bright, the silhouette stays drawn, and the product separates from the sweep cleanly.

Do small devices need their own session?

No. Small line-mates slot into the same setup with their own supports and framing. The pen and sprayer here shared the steamer’s session and light plan.

A beauty line that should photograph as a family?

Send the devices. We will lock the light and the brand color across every unit, from countertop steamer to pocket pen.
