Glass Baby Formula Kettle Electronics Photography

A home appliance brand selling on Amazon and Shopify commissioned photography for a white-and-pink thermostatic glass baby formula kettle. We delivered two white-background hero frames, two pour-action frames, and one construction detail image. The set highlights the 1.2L borosilicate body, live LED temperature readouts, and pouring function in a clean baby-soft palette. All files were supplied with a full commercial license.

Photography Challenges

1. LED readout legibility. The red LED panel had to remain readable against the bright white base while the rest of the scene stayed high-key. We balanced soft frontal light so the display did not wash out, then checked the 45 set-temperature and 52 current-temperature readouts at camera. A black flag near the lens controlled stray bounce from the white sweep.

2. Glass body and reflections. The borosilicate body, stainless collar, and lid created overlapping highlights that could obscure shape and capacity markings. We used large soft sources from both sides and subtle negative fill to define the glass edges without harsh reflections. The MAX 1200mL marking and preset labels were kept visible by adjusting the angle of each softbox.

3. Frozen pour action. The pour frames required a sharp water stream, visible splash, and milky formula in the baby bottle without motion blur. We used short flash duration to freeze the stream and the splash inside the tilted kettle. The hand was positioned from frame left so it supported the action without covering the kettle profile.

4. Boiling-water detail. In the hero frame, the water inside the glass body needed to read as actively heating without looking murgy or over-lit. We adjusted the light angle so small bubbles were visible through the glass and matched the kettle's constant-temperature function. The white-and-pink palette was preserved by keeping the background neutral and exposure even.

Our Approach

High-key white-background setup.

We built the hero images on a pure white sweep with two large softboxes positioned left and right for even wrapping light. A lower reflector lifted shadow detail under the white base and handle, while a flag reduced camera-front glare. This kept the kettle's pastel-pink accents, stainless neck band, and glass body separated from the background.

Pour-action direction.

For the two in-use frames, the model's forearm entered with a pink coat cuff that matched the product palette. We framed the baby bottle and waisted glass cup separately, pouring until the stream shape and impact splash looked natural but controlled. Short flash duration locked the water motion, and the kettle was tilted enough to show both the stream and the interior splash.

Retouching and Delivery.

Retouching preserved the visible product details: LED numbers, MAX 1200mL and MIN 200mL markings, stainless collar, heating plate, and sensor probe. We cleaned dust and background imperfections without altering colors or material appearance. Final files were organized for Amazon image slots, with the clean hero and action/detail frames ready for A+ Content and Shopify use.
