The product is an ice wine duo with fluid-art labels: a pale gold ice white with calligraphy branding, and a deep purple ice red marked CRIMSON. The brief needed one creative world that says ice-cold, plus clean catalog frames for retail listings. All 4 frames were shot at the AIMI Visual Media studio in Guangzhou, China.

Photography Challenges
1. Fake snow reads fake at macro distance. Real crushed ice melts under studio heat and turns to slush in twenty minutes. The set mixes realistic snow simulant for the trench with real crushed ice only in the lit zone, which is replaced between takes.
2. A clear bottle shows the room, not the wine. The pale gold bottle is transparent, so it photographs whatever sits behind it. Blue backlight through the ice trench turns the liquid into a light source and gives the bottle its cold glow without front reflections.
3. Two SKUs, one world. The gold and purple bottles share one set recipe, so the pair reads as a family: same trench, same blue rim, only the bottle changes. Color temperature is grey-card locked at 5600K so neither label drifts.
Our Approach
Snow trench creative frames.
Frames 01-02 stand each bottle in a carved snow trench filled with crushed ice, backlit blue so the ice glows from below. The bottle neck stays above the snow line so the calligraphy label reads clean.
Catalog stack frames.
Frames 03-04 switch to a seamless light-blue sweep with a black mirror base: three dark bottles stacked in a pyramid with fresh condensation, then four gold bottles in two stacks with transmitted light through the liquid.
Post-production and delivery.
Retouching removed melt tracks from the ice zone, matched the blue grade across all 4 frames, and delivered 2000x2000px sRGB JPG plus WebP.
"Cold is a color before it is a prop. Light the ice from behind, and the bottle starts to look like it belongs in it." — June, Product Photography Team Lead

Frequently Asked Questions
How is a two-SKU wine set like this priced?
Styled creative frames start at $35 per image under our Growth package, so a 4-frame set like this runs from $140 including set building and retouching. All rates are starting prices, and the final quote depends on your requirements.
Is the ice real?
Partly. The carved trench uses a stable snow simulant, and only the lit area carries real crushed ice, which is swapped between takes so it never reads as slush.
Can you shoot plain white-background versions as well?
Yes. Pure white-background shots for main image slots start from $12 per image under our Essential package, delivered at 2000x2000px sRGB with a full commercial license.
How long does an ice wine session take?
This set was delivered in our standard 5-7 business day window: set build and lighting tests first, then the shoot, then retouching and blue matching across the frames.
