The product is a signature beef burger: a glossy sesame bun, a thick seared patty, melted cheddar, onion rings and a creamy white sauce, built tall on a dark rustic wood board. The client needed one menu hero that sells juiciness at thumbnail size, so the whole frame is built around the cheese melt and the sear texture. Shot at the AIMI Visual Media studio in Guangzhou, China.

Photography Challenges

1. Melted cheese has a five-minute prime. The cheddar must drape, not slide and not stiffen. The patty is seared to temperature, the cheese is torched at the last moment, and the burger is built and shot inside one short window.

2. A tall burger leans without a spine. Stacked patties and onion rings shift under their own weight. A hidden skewer runs through the stack so the burger stands tall and straight through the whole session.

3. Dark wood swallows dark crust. The seared patty and the rustic board sit in the same tonal range. A rear rim light separates the crust edge from the wood, and the sauce gets a small skim highlight so it reads creamy, not flat.

Our Approach

Build for the camera, not the table.

The burger is assembled layer by layer on set: bun glossed, patty placed hot, cheese torched to a controlled drape, onion rings arranged for height, sauce added last with a spoon so it sits where the lens wants it.

One locked composition.

The frame is a tight three-quarter angle on the wood board with the blurred sauce dish behind, so the burger owns the whole read at menu size.

Post-production and delivery.

Retouching cleaned cheese overshoot on the board, held the sear texture, and delivered 2000x2000px sRGB JPG plus WebP.

"A burger hero is a timing exercise. Hot patty, last-second cheese, hidden spine, and shoot before the architecture sags." — June, Product Photography Team Lead
