The product is premium dried bird's nest: pale ivory cups with a delicate fibrous structure, sold as a high-value tonic. The photography has to prove the fiber texture and keep the luxury read, so the sets stay minimal: white, blush and light blue-grey sweeps with one orchid prop. All 5 frames were shot at the AIMI Visual Media studio in Guangzhou, China.

Photography Challenges

1. White on white is an exposure argument. The ivory nest on a white sweep disappears if the light is flat. The nest is metered a half stop above the sweep and the shadow side is held open, so the cups read as solid objects, not ghosts.

2. The fiber is the product. Buyers judge quality by the fibrous structure. One macro frame at f/16 keeps the whole nest surface sharp so the strands read clean at zoom.

3. An orchid prop must not steal the frame. The white orchid is the only color note. It is placed behind or beside the nest, never on it, so the product owns the read.

Our Approach

White set block.

Frame 01 arranges the nest cups on a white sweep with soft shadows, establishing the clean product read.

Blush and orchid block.

Frames 02 and 04 add the white orchid on a blush set and a porcelain bowl composition, keeping the nest the brightest object in frame.

Macro and group closers.

Frame 03 goes to the fibrous macro at f/16, and frame 05 finishes with a group on a light blue-grey sweep for the catalog read.

Post-production and delivery.

Retouching cleaned loose fibers at the cup edges, matched the ivory tone across sets, and delivered 2000x2000px sRGB JPG plus WebP.

"Premium tonic photography is proof of texture. Give the fiber one sharp macro frame and the price stops being a question." — June, Product Photography Team Lead

Styled creative frames start at $35 per image under our Growth package, so a 5-frame set runs from $175 including styling and retouching. All rates are starting prices, and the final quote depends on your requirements.

Can you show the fiber texture clearly?

Yes. One macro frame at f/16 keeps the whole nest surface sharp so the fibrous structure reads clean at zoom.

How long does a 5-frame session take?

This set was delivered in our standard 5-7 business day window: set build, one shooting day, then retouching and tone matching.

Do you add white-background versions for marketplaces?
