The product is dried cordyceps in a premium gift box: black and gold packaging with a red ribbon, holding pale gold cordyceps strands. The brief was luxury weight, so the set is dark wood with silk and a red seal prop. All 6 frames were shot at the AIMI Visual Media studio in Guangzhou, China.

Photography Challenges

1. Black and gold packaging eats light. The black box goes flat and the gold trim flares under the same light. The gold is metered first and the black is held with a soft fill, so both read clean.

2. Cordyceps strands are fragile and pale. The strands break under handling and go gray under flat light. They are placed with tweezers and lit with a warm raking key so the texture reads.

3. Red ribbon must not dominate. The red ribbon is the only color note. It is kept small and neat so the box stays the hero.

Our Approach

Box and ribbon block.

Frames 01-02 and 04-05 establish the packaging: the closed box, the open box with cordyceps inside, the seal detail and the stacked pair.

Cordyceps macro.

Frame 03 goes to the strands on dark silk, so the buyer sees the product texture at zoom.

Group closer.

Frame 06 pulls the full range into one frame for the catalog page.

Post-production and delivery.

Retouching cleaned dust on the black box, held the gold trim, and delivered 2000x2000px sRGB JPG plus WebP.

"Luxury tonic packaging is a light-balance exercise: gold first, black second, and one red note that does not shout." — June, Product Photography Team Lead
