The product is soy-braised duck, a ready-to-eat meat line sold on e-commerce. The frames had to read glossy and premium, so the set is a ceramic plate with scallion and dark sauce props, and the duck is shot whole and sliced. All 4 frames were shot at the AIMI Visual Media studio in Guangzhou, China.

Photography Challenges
1. The glaze must read glossy, not greasy. The soy glaze goes flat under soft light. A hard skim light bands the surface so the glaze reads as sheen, not oil.
2. Sliced duck must stay moist. The sliced duck dries fast. The duck is sliced on set and shot immediately, while the interior still reads juicy.
3. Dark sauce must not stain the plate. The sauce drizzle is placed with a spoon so it reads intentional, not messy.
Our Approach
Whole duck first.
Frame 01 establishes the whole duck with the glossy glaze on the ceramic plate.
Slice and detail block.
Frames 02-03 show the sliced interior and the duck leg close-up with scallion and sauce.
Group closer.
Frame 04 pulls the range into one frame for the catalog page.
Post-production and delivery.
Retouching held the glaze sheen, cleaned sauce overshoot, and delivered 2000x2000px sRGB JPG plus WebP.
