The products are the two snack anchors of the menu line: pan-fried potstickers with lace-crisp bases, and red oil noodles dressed with chili oil, scallion and sesame. The potsticker crisp and the noodle gloss both die within minutes, so each dish is cooked to order and shot immediately. Both frames were shot at the AIMI Visual Media studio in Guangzhou, China.

Photography Challenges

1. The crispy base is a ninety-second asset. Potsticker bases soften as steam rises through the batch. The dumplings are plated crisp-side up the moment they leave the pan, and the frame is taken before the lace softens.

2. Red oil noodles clump as they cool. The noodles are tossed hot with the oil so every strand carries gloss, then twisted into a mound with chopsticks and shot while the gloss is wet.

3. Golden brown and chili red share one grade. The two frames land side by side on the menu, so the warm grade is matched across them: same white ground, same plate, one appetite family.

Our Approach

Pan to plate in one move.

Frame 01 plates the potstickers crisp-side up straight from the pan, arranged so the golden bases face the key light.

Toss, twist, shoot.

Frame 02 tosses the noodles hot, mounds them with chopsticks, and finishes with scallion and sesame seconds before capture.

Post-production and delivery.

Retouching held the crisp texture and the oil gloss, matched the warm grade across the pair, and delivered 2000x2000px sRGB JPG plus WebP.

"Fried and dressed snacks are a cooling clock: cook to order, plate fast, and never let the gloss dry on set." — June, Product Photography Team Lead
