The product is a 2.5L ceramic jar of premium baijiu with a calligraphy label and fabric seal, sold with a branded canvas tote. The client wanted the literati world: low wooden stands, tea trays, books and plum branches, so the jar reads as a gift for scholars, not a supermarket liquor. All 9 frames were shot at the AIMI Visual Media studio in Guangzhou, China.

Photography Challenges

1. A 2.5L jar dominates every composition. The jar is heavy and tall, so every prop must earn its place at a smaller scale. Stands, trays and books are sized down so the jar stays the visual anchor without crowding the frame.

2. Ceramic glaze fights the light. The jar has a semi-gloss glaze that streaks under hard light. A large soft key with a slight top falloff keeps the glaze even and lets the calligraphy label stay readable.

3. Scholar props can turn into clutter. Book, brush rest, tea tray, plum branch: the line between literati and messy is one prop too many. Each frame carries at most two props beyond the jar.

Our Approach

The stand hero.

Frame 01 sets the jar on a low wooden stand with a single scholar prop, establishing the literati tone.

Tea ceremony block.

Frames 02-03 and 05 bring in the teacup, bamboo tray, book and tasting cups, each frame limited to two props.

Label and tote proof.

Frames 04 and 07 go to the calligraphy label close-up and the branded tote pairing, the two trust frames of the set.

Post-production and delivery.

Retouching evened the glaze reflections, matched the muted grade, and delivered 2000x2000px sRGB JPG plus WebP.

"Literati styling is subtraction with a budget: one jar, two props, and everything else leaves the frame." — June, Product Photography Team Lead
