The product is the CloudBoard 5-compartment bento box, a takeout packaging line sold to restaurants and catering brands. Packaging sells on two proofs: the empty layout read and the filled appetite read, so the session covers both: empty compartments on white, and real food fills on a warm wood lunch set. All 9 frames were shot at the AIMI Visual Media studio in Guangzhou, China.

Photography Challenges
1. Empty packaging reads flat without food. An empty compartment box is a plastic grid. The empty frames get a strict high-key read for the layout, and the filled frames carry the appetite: rice, protein and vegetables placed to show the compartment logic.
2. The material must read as quality, not disposable. Thin packaging plastic shines cheap under hard light. A soft key with gentle falloff keeps the material matte and the edges crisp.
3. The stack must stand honestly. Frame 04 stacks three filled bentos. The stack is real, shot at a slight angle so the contact shadows prove it is not composited.
Our Approach
Filled appetite block.
Frames 01, 04, 06-07 shoot the bento filled with real food: the single lunch, the capacity stack, the chopsticks pairing and the overhead read.
Empty layout block.
Frames 02-03 and 05 switch to high-key white: the empty compartment grid, the lid lean and the material close-up.
Branding closer.
Frames 08-09 finish with the branded sleeve and the full range group.
Post-production and delivery.
Retouching held the material texture, matched the two set grades, and delivered 2000x2000px sRGB JPG plus WebP.
"Packaging photography is a two-proof exercise: the empty grid for the buyer, the filled meal for the appetite." — June, Product Photography Team Lead

Frequently Asked Questions

Styled creative frames start at $35 per image under our Growth package, so a 9-frame set runs from $315 including styling and retouching. All rates are starting prices, and the final quote depends on your requirements.
Can you show both empty and filled states?
Yes. Empty frames on white prove the layout, filled frames on the lunch set prove the appetite. Both are part of the standard packaging shot plan.
How long does a 9-frame session take?
This set was delivered in our standard 5-7 business day window: food prep and set build, one shooting day, then retouching.
Do you add white-background versions for marketplaces?
Yes. Pure white-background frames start from $12 per image under our Essential package, delivered at 2000x2000px sRGB with a full commercial license.
