Photography Challenges
1. Crust dulls as it cools. The crust loses its sheen within an hour of baking. The loaves are shot the same morning they are baked, while the crust still reads crackly.
2. The crumb must read open. The cut loaf is sliced with a serrated blade in one pull so the crumb structure stays open, not compressed.
3. Flour dust must look placed. The flour is sifted through a fine sieve so it reads as a dusting, not a spill.
Our Approach
Hero loaf first.
Frame 01 sets the crusty loaf on the wood board with the flour dust, the anchor of the set.
Crumb proof.
Frame 02 goes to the cut loaf, where the open crumb structure carries the quality argument.
Atmosphere and group.
Frames 03-04 add the linen and wheat props and the range group.
Post-production and delivery.
Retouching held the crust texture, matched the rustic grade, and delivered 2000x2000px sRGB JPG plus WebP.
