The product is a seven-dish Cantonese fine-dining set for Dongjiang Fishing Village. The dishes carry sauce gloss, delicate garnish and restaurant plating, so the photography needs a dark, quiet set that lets the food read premium without turning flat. All 7 frames were shot at the AIMI Visual Media studio in Guangzhou, China.

Photography Challenges

1. Fine-dining plates have empty space that must look intentional. A wide plate with a small portion reads premium only when the rim and sauce are controlled. The crop is tightened per dish so the plate edge supports the food instead of swallowing it.

2. Sauce shine moves fast. Glossy sauces dull as they sit. The light is pre-set and each plate is shot within minutes of plating to keep highlights clean.

3. Seven dishes need one restaurant voice. The set stays dark and consistent; variety comes from the food shape and garnish rather than changing props.

Our Approach

One dark menu system.

Frames 01-07 use the same dark table, rim light and crop rules so the seven dishes read as one menu family.

Per-dish adjustments.

Steam dishes are timed, sauce dishes are angled for shine, and delicate items get a slightly higher camera to protect garnish structure.

Post-production and delivery.

Retouching cleaned plate edges, matched sauce and greens across the set, and delivered 2000x2000px sRGB JPG plus WebP.

"Fine-dining photography is restraint. The set should disappear so the plate can carry the price." — June, Product Photography Team Lead

Frequently Asked Questions

How is this kind of food photography priced?

Styled creative frames start at $35 per image under our Growth package, so a 7-dish restaurant set runs from $245 including styling coordination and retouching. Pure white-background marketplace shots start from $12 per image under Essential, and A+ Content packages start from $80 per SKU under Premium. All rates are starting prices, and the final quote depends on your requirements.

How long does a session like this take?

This project was delivered inside our standard 5-7 business day window: plating order and sauce timing tests first, then the shoot, then retouching and color matching across the final set.

Can you also shoot the plain white-background version?

Yes. Pure white-background shots for Amazon main image slots start from $12 per image under our Essential package. Final files are delivered at 2000x2000px sRGB, above the 1000px zoom minimum, with a full commercial license.

Can you work with our chef on plating timing?

Yes. The shot list is sequenced with the kitchen so sauced, steamed and fried dishes are each captured in their best short window.
