AIMI Visual Media produced a 30-second promotional film for Baijiutang, a moxibustion wellness center, shot inside the operating store. Delivered in native 1920x1080 landscape at 25fps within five business days, the film tours the storefront, corridor, and therapy rooms, then closes on the illuminated logo wall for Douyin, Dianping, and in-store screens.

Baijiutang asked for a store film that answers the two questions every wellness customer carries before walking in: is the environment comfortable, and is the service professional. Thirty seconds leaves no room for argument, so we chose spatial storytelling over persuasion. The neo-Chinese entrance with its black-and-gold signboard and red couplets declares the tone, the warm corridor and private rooms prove this is no street-corner shop, and the tidy therapy beds stand as physical evidence of service quality. The logo wall closes the loop and fixes the brand in memory.

Creative Concept

A wellness center sells reassurance before it sells treatment, and reassurance is visual. We built the film as a walk-through that mirrors the customer’s own decision path. The facade with its signboard and couplets signals tradition and tone. The corridor depth and the row of private rooms signal privacy and standards. The double therapy room with blue linens and a floral screen signals care. The closing logo shot, with its gourd motif held in soft bokeh, ties the brand to Chinese medicine imagery, so the thirty seconds end on memory rather than information.

Production

We shot with a professional camera package, working the store section by section. The facade went at dusk, when the signboard’s warm gold lighting reads at full richness. In the corridor we used the existing house lights and a wide lens positioned against the wall, letting depth composition stretch a narrow space; the pebble trim and wall washers give natural foreground, middle, and background layers. The therapy room needed soft light to keep the blue linens and pink wall clean on camera. For the logo wall we opened the aperture for shallow depth of field, letting the bokeh melt the room away so the glowing gourd mark owns the frame. Mixed color temperatures were solved by locking white balance to the interior lamps, keeping one warm grade across the whole film.

Production Challenges

1. The store’s spaces are tight, and tight rooms photograph small. We paired a wide lens with camera positions hard against the wall and composed for depth, so the corridor reads as layers of foreground, middle ground, and background rather than a cramped passage. Small rooms come alive through depth staging, not through forcing the widest lens available.

2. Mixed color temperatures fought each other throughout the store. Warm interior lamps clashed with daylight from the windows, so we picked one master source. White balance was locked to the house lighting and the whole film graded warm. The yellow cast becomes atmosphere instead of a color error, which suits a wellness brand.

3. Thirty seconds had to carry environment, service, and brand. We let the walking route structure the edit, following the path a customer actually takes from entrance to therapy room. Every second lands on a new scene, so nothing repeats and nothing is wasted. The space itself became the script.

Where the Film Lives

The master runs on the store’s Douyin and Dianping pages, where short local-life content drives walk-in traffic, and it loops on in-store screens for customers already inside. It also circulates through social sharing to reach regulars and their friends. A Dianping-specific cut can be output to match the platform’s video specifications, with adjusted length and framing and storefront shots given priority. As with any local-life placement, we recommend checking each platform’s current policy before paid distribution.

“Shoot a wellness store for the feeling first. Customers decide on the first impression of the rooms, so give the space thirty honest seconds of warmth and the booking phone rings on its own.” (Garbo) — Garbo, Director of Photography

Frequently Asked Questions

Is 30 seconds enough for a store film?

For store promotion it is. Viewing habits on Douyin and in social feeds favor short and fast pieces, and a film that covers facade, environment, and brand in thirty seconds tends to hold completion rates. A store film’s job is to pull foot traffic through the door, not to explain every service on the menu.

Should the moxibustion service process be filmed too?

That depends on the goal. This film takes the environment route, and a separate service film can cover the treatment itself. Environment pieces build desire, service pieces convert it; together they are the standard pairing for storefront content.

How do you make a small store look good on camera?

Wide lens plus depth. Camera positions against the wall and corridor-depth compositions stretch the space, while layered lighting separates foreground, middle ground, and background. The key to small spaces is compositional depth, not simply pulling the widest lens you own.

Why does the logo wall get its own closing shot?

Because good feeling needs somewhere to land. After the environment wins the viewer over, the final brand mark gives that goodwill an anchor. The gourd graphic carries Chinese medicine imagery, tying the Baijiutang name directly to wellness in the viewer’s memory.

How is a store promotional film priced?

Every store film is quoted per project, itemized from your brief: number of spaces, shooting time, and the versions you need. Share your store details through our contact page and we will send back a tailored proposal and schedule.

Will the warm yellow lighting look too yellow on screen?

Not if the color temperature is unified. We set white balance to the interior lamps as the reference and grade the whole film warm, so yellow reads as atmosphere rather than a color cast. For a wellness center, that warm tone is the correct choice.

Does the store need to close or clear customers for the shoot?

No, and an open store actually feels more real. We shoot the corridor and public areas during normal operation, while therapy rooms involving customer privacy are filmed in gaps between bookings. The authenticity of a working store persuades better than staged tidiness.

Can you film close-ups of the therapists’ techniques?

Yes. Technique close-ups are the core footage of a service film, with moxibustion and tuina movements presented in tight professional framing. For service businesses, competitive strength on camera always comes down to how well professional detail is presented.

How long does a store film take to deliver?

Standard turnaround is three to five business days covering scouting, the shoot, and the fine cut, scheduled around your off-peak business hours. If you need rush scheduling, timing and any related cost can be confirmed with our team.

Can you output a Dianping-specific version?

Yes. We output to the platform’s video specifications, adapting duration and frame format, with storefront and environment footage prioritized. Local-life content follows each platform’s placement rules, so we advise reviewing the current policy of your target platform before distribution.
