A delivered kidswear campaign built on two color worlds. The red set runs on saturated floor-to-wall red with oversized unfinished-plywood letter props doubling as apparel cubbies: frames 1, 4, 7 and 9 group toddlers and preschoolers around the letters, knit sweatshirts and a white puffer cape against the wood and red. The olive set runs quieter: frames 2, 5, 6 and 8 put one child at a time on or around a bright orange wire bench, crimson cable knits, quilted puffers and a baseball-stance hoodie against the moss field. Frame 3 detours into character play: a droid-themed trapper hat and striped leggings inside a mini soccer goal on orange.

Photography Challenges

1. Saturated sets eat skin tones. A wall-to-wall red set reflects onto every face. The children work a step off the backdrop, flags trim the red bounce, and skin is verified against a grey card at each mark before the group frames land.

2. Group frames multiply the variables. Three toddlers on one platform cannot be directed simultaneously. The grouping is staged as a seat-and-play arrangement, adults step out on cue, and the shutter runs through the interaction rather than waiting for three smiles at once.

3. Props must carry product, not hide it. The letter cubbies display folded knits and shoes; each cubby is styled so the displayed apparel faces camera squarely, reading as product slots inside the campaign frame.

4. Two color worlds, one campaign. Red and olive sets shoot in separate light recipes but grade to one contrast curve, so the campaign page can interleave frames without a visible lighting jump.

Our Approach

The red group frames.

Frames 1, 4, 7 and 9 seat the children against the letter props in age order; the wood tone warms the red field, and folded apparel in the cubbies turns the set itself into additional product slots.

The bench solos.

Frames 2, 5, 6 and 8 give each toddler the orange bench alone: a climb, a perch with a toy car, a batting stance, a laughing sit; one prop, four reads, all against the same olive field.

The character frame.

Frame 3 sits the model inside the mini goal, palms on the turf-orange floor; the droid hat ear flaps frame her face and the net grid adds a graphic layer without touching the outfit.

Continuity checks.

Sneaker and boot styling repeats across frames, knit palettes stay in the red-yellow-grey family, and every frame is cropped to hold copy space on one side for campaign layout.

"On a color set, meter the child, not the wall. The red backdrop is a light source whether you want it or not, so flag it like one." — Garbo, Director of Photography

Frequently Asked Questions

How is a nine-frame kids campaign priced?

Campaign sessions are billed from $800/day per photography team, with child model agency fees and set builds itemized; the series returns a written per-project quote after a brief call.

Can you build oversized letter props and display cubbies?

Yes. We fabricate plywood letterforms with open cubbies in-house, so the set doubles as product display space inside campaign frames.

How do you handle multi-toddler group frames?

We stage seat-and-play groupings, clear adults on cue, and shoot through the interaction, because three directed toddlers never peak at the same second.

What is the turnaround?

Standard delivery is 5-7 business days from shoot day, including retouching and grade matching across both color sets.

Who owns the images?

Your brand does, under a full commercial license covering catalog, marketplace, social and advertising use.
