Some product lines sell a mood as much as a fit. This session took a mint jacquard plunge set, with its scale-pattern knit, scalloped lace underband and tiny gore charm, into a sunlit garden corner dense with climbing morning glory and potted globe flowers. The model's crown braid, threaded with baby's breath sprigs, completes the romantic read the catalog asked for. Six frames move from front fits through vine-touching gestures to a rear frame of the wide hook-and-eye panel, all held at a shallow depth of field so the garden stays a soft wash behind the product.

Photography Challenges
1. Mint fabric sits inside a green set. A pale aqua product against dense foliage loses its boundary fast. Aperture is opened to throw the leaves into soft bokeh, and a subtle rim from the backlight edges the model out of the green, so the jacquard texture and the lace trim stay the sharpest things in frame.
2. Dappled sun patches the skin. Direct speckled light through leaves creates hot spots across the torso. Shooting is timed for the soft patches and a scrim is held over the model, keeping the beauty light even while the background keeps its sunlit sparkle.
3. Botanical props must not touch the product read. Vines and flowers at the product plane confuse the silhouette. Gestures place the hands into the foliage only at the frame edges, and the terracotta planter stays low and behind, so nothing overlaps the cup line or the waistband.
4. A romantic set still needs construction proof. Mood frames alone leave the closure question open. The series closes with a rear frame where the model faces the garden: the wide four-column hook panel reads square-on, inside the same soft grade as the mood shots.
Our Approach
The front fits.
Frames 1 and 2 establish the set: the jacquard scale pattern, the scalloped underband and the gore charm all sharp at the product plane, with the morning glory blooms kept soft behind the shoulder line.
The gesture frames.
Frames 3 to 5 put the hands into the scene: touching the vine, clasping the forearm with eyes closed, resting on the hip. Each gesture lives at the frame edge so the product silhouette never breaks.
The construction frame.
Frame 6 turns the model to the garden for the rear read: the wide hook-and-eye panel and strap path sit square to camera, proving the set's support build inside the same romantic light.
Post-production for a location series.
All six frames grade to one warm daylight balance, greens are held slightly under the product tones so the mint set stays forward, and skin keeps its texture under the scrimmed sun.
"On location, the set is free but the discipline is the same: keep the product plane sharp and empty, and let the garden earn its blur." — Garbo, Director of Photography

Frequently Asked Questions
How is a location lingerie session priced?
On-model location sessions are billed from $800/day per photography team, with model, makeup, styling and location costs itemized separately. We return a written per-project quote after a brief call.
Can you shoot outdoors without losing product detail?
Yes. We keep the product plane sharp with shallow depth of field, scrim the direct sun off the model, and reserve rear frames for construction details like closures.
Can you style hair and props for a romantic catalog?
Yes. Braids, floral sprigs and set styling are planned with your brief before the shoot day, so the mood frames and the fit frames come from one consistent setup.
What is the turnaround?
Standard delivery is 5-7 business days from shoot day, including retouching and grade matching across the set.
Who owns the images?
Your brand does, under a full commercial license covering catalog, marketplace, social and advertising use.
