Print lingerie asks the camera to hold pattern, texture and support in one read. This session built the client's listing around a single hero set: blush satin cups printed with deep rose baroque florals, scalloped ivory eyelash lace at the neckline and underband, a rhinestone charm at the gore, and a matching microfiber brief with lace hip insets. A powder blue garden gazebo, dressed with climbing ivy and a wrought-iron candelabra chandelier, gives the catalog its romantic outdoor register. Seven frames run from the front fits through vine-side gestures to a rear read of the four-row hook panel, all at shallow depth so the garden stays a soft wash behind the product.

Photography Challenges

1. A busy floral print fights a busy garden. Rose baroque motifs over dense foliage can drown the product boundary fast. Aperture is opened to throw the ivy and bougainvillea into soft bokeh, and the powder blue painted wood holds a cool contrast field behind the blush set, so the cup line and lace edge stay the sharpest shapes in frame.

2. Satin cups flare under direct sun. Glossy rose satin picks up hard highlights that bleach the print. Shooting is timed for soft patches and a scrim is held over the model, metering on the cup so the print keeps its depth and the ivory lace holds separation from the fair skin.

3. Eyelash lace must survive marketplace zoom. Buyers open lace at full resolution to judge quality. A raking accent light runs along the neckline and underband so the scalloped relief reads at 100 percent crop, while the frontal fill keeps the shadow side clean of noise.

4. A romantic set still owes a construction frame. Mood frames leave the closure question open. The series closes with a rear frame where the wide four-row hook panel and the textured jacquard straps sit square to camera, proving the support build inside the same soft garden grade.

Our Approach

The front fits.

Frames 1 and 2 establish the set with the model leaning on the gazebo rail: the plunge line, the scalloped underband and the rhinestone gore charm all sit unobstructed, and the rail gives the arms a natural resting line that keeps hands clear of the product.

The torso and portrait crops.

Frames 3 to 5 tighten the read: a three-quarter torso frame for the longline band, a direct-gaze portrait for the neckline lace, and a crossed-arms front frame that shows cup projection without any hand crossing the fabric.

The gesture frame.

Frame 6 puts one hand to the baby's breath braid, the gesture that ties the styling to the garden register while the product plane stays empty and sharp.

The construction frame and grade.

Frame 7 turns the model to the garden for the rear read: the four-row hook panel and strap path sit square-on. All seven frames grade to one warm daylight balance, greens held slightly under the product tones so the blush set stays forward.

"On a painted-wood location, let the set carry the cool tones and the product carry the warm ones. The separation does the composition work for you." — Garbo, Director of Photography

Frequently Asked Questions

How is a location lingerie session priced?

On-model location sessions are billed from $800/day per photography team, with model, makeup, styling and set costs itemized separately. We return a written per-project quote after a brief call.

Can you shoot print sets outdoors without losing pattern detail?

Yes. We keep the product plane sharp with shallow depth of field, scrim the direct sun off the cups, and reserve rear frames for construction details like hook panels and strap paths.

Can you style hair and set dressing for a romantic catalog?

Yes. Braids, floral sprigs, vine dressing and painted-wood sets are planned with your brief before the shoot day, so the mood frames and the fit frames come from one consistent setup.

What is the turnaround?

Standard delivery is 5-7 business days from shoot day, including retouching and grade matching across the set.

Who owns the images?

Your brand does, under a full commercial license covering catalog, marketplace, social and advertising use.
