Ginger Personal Care Set Product Photography

The product is a three-bottle ginger care set: a 300ml pump bottle in glossy black, a 300ml amber bottle and a 50ml amber treatment, all with metallic closures and gold print. The client wanted one lifestyle frame that places the set inside a real morning routine instead of another white-catalog row. The frame was styled and shot overhead at the AIMI Visual Media studio in Guangzhou, China, and delivered under a full commercial license.

Photography Challenges

1. Three bottles, three materials, one exposure. Glossy black plastic swallows light, amber glass glows, and chrome caps mirror everything in the room, so one flat setting either kills the black or blows the chrome. The frame uses a large overhead softbox for the marble base, a flagged strip that only edges the amber glass, and black cards just out of frame to keep the chrome reflections clean.

2. Amber glass lies about its color. Under warm light the bottles go orange, and under cool fill they turn muddy brown. The key is held at a neutral 5500K and the white marble acts as the only bounce, so the amber on screen matches the amber in hand.

3. Five props either earn their place or clutter the frame. Palm fronds and monstera leaves carry the botanical message, the keyboard plants the set on a work desk, and the greeting card turns it into a gift scenario. Anything that did not answer why it was there was removed before the first test frame.

4. Marble veining can fight the gold print. Grey veins crossing behind gold lettering cut legibility at thumbnail size, so the bottles sit on the quiet zones of the slab and the veining runs through the gaps between products.

Our Approach

The overhead composition.

The camera locks at 90 degrees above the marble with a 70mm lens at f/8, which keeps all three bottles sharp edge to edge with no perspective lean. The black pump stands upright at upper left, the 300ml amber leans at upper right, and the 50ml treatment anchors the center, forming a loose triangle that still reads at thumbnail size.

Styling with a reason for every object.

Palm fronds enter from the top left and monstera leaves from the bottom right, framing the group without touching the labels. The keyboard and birthday card push the scene toward a desk-side gift moment, and the empty marble at the edges leaves room for headline copy.

Post-production and delivery.

Retouching cleaned room reflections out of the chrome caps, kept the gold print warm without turning it orange, and locked the marble to a neutral white that keeps its vein texture. Delivered as 2000x2000px sRGB JPG plus WebP.
