MSP Haircare Line — Natural Positioning Through Color and Texture

The client brief was straightforward: three-product haircare line (two shampoos, one oil) shot for Tmall and brand website. They wanted a natural, spa-like feel without going full "leaves everywhere" cliché. We chose a teal wall background because it sits between clinical blue and organic green — works for both premium and natural positioning.

Lighting setup: large softbox overhead for base exposure, strip light from behind the amber bottle to show the oil inside. The translucency matters because customers want to see what they're buying. We used white geometric blocks to create height variation — the amber bottle elevated in back draws the eye first, then viewers scan down to the black bottles. Palm leaves frame top corners, wooden brush and bowl add texture without cluttering the hero products.

Shot on white wood surface to keep it warm. The whole setup took about 90 minutes including prop adjustments. Delivered 8 final images, client used this composition as their hero shot across all channels.
