Mask sachets look simple until you try to light them: matte foil wrinkles, red print blooms, and regulatory text turns to mush under beauty lighting. This set was built as packaging documentation first, with the discipline of a packshot and just enough shaping to keep the pouch dimensional.

Photography Challenges
1. Lighting matte foil without glare or deadness. The frosted foil creases at the seals and flashes speculars under hard light, but soft tent light flattens the padded form into a paper cutout.
2. Keeping small regulatory text legible. The back panel carries ingredients, directions and manufacturing detail in small print. Diffusion that flatters the front turns that text fuzzy, and platforms reject unreadable labels.
3. Showing front and back in one honest frame. A pair layout tempts tilting for drama; buyers of packaging documentation need both faces flat, aligned and equally lit.
Our Approach
Shaped softbox discipline
We lit through a large diffused source with the edges flagged off, keeping a faint gradient across the pouch so the padded form reads. The red accent bar was metered to sit just under clipping, so the print keeps its density.
Two-pass capture for the back panel
The detail frame was shot twice: once for overall evenness and once with a harder, lower-angle pass for text micro-contrast, then blended. Ingredients and barcode stay legible at full resolution.
Pair layout on a jig
For the front-and-back frame the sachets sit on a hidden acrylic jig that holds both flat and parallel, with matched spacing. The camera locks square to the jig so neither face distorts.
"Packaging photography is a promise to the buyer: what the listing shows is what the courier delivers. Wrinkle for wrinkle, seal for seal." — June, Product Photography Team Lead

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you keep ingredient text readable in packshots?
Yes. We shoot a dedicated detail pass for text micro-contrast and blend it with the beauty pass, so small print, barcodes and regulatory blocks survive at full resolution.
Do you photograph both sides of product packaging?
Yes, as a flat aligned pair on a jig. Marketplaces and buyers use the back panel to verify claims, so we treat it with the same care as the front.
Will the images pass marketplace main-image rules?
The front hero is built for main-slot compliance: pure white background, true geometry, no props. Styled variants go to secondary slots.
Need packaging buyers can read as well as admire?
Send the SKUs and target platforms. We will deliver compliant mains, legible back panels and the styled frames in between.
