Five pastel-styled frames for a rose gold keyring flash drive: a giftable tech accessory photographed the way its buyers shop, with laptops, lipstick, stationery and a pink palette carrying the set from desk scene to clean hero, five compositions from one styling kit.

This drive is a fashion object as much as a storage device, sold in a rose gold finish to buyers who choose tech by how it looks on a desk. The session built a pastel pink world around that finish: real laptop, real lipstick, paper and ribbon props, each frame composed so the polished drive stays the brightest object in the scene.

| Deliverables | Five styled frames from lifestyle flat lays to hero |

Photography Challenges
1. A mirror that is two inches long. The polished rose gold body reflects everything within arm’s reach, including the camera. At this scale the answer is not bigger flags but smaller ones: cards cut to centimeters, positioned with tweezers, so the drive reflects pink surface and soft light instead of the lens.
2. Props that compete with the product. Lipstick, pencils and a macaron all carry stronger color than a thumb-sized drive. Every prop was placed behind or beside the product, never under it, and depth of field was kept shallow enough that props read as context, not rivals.
3. Keeping pink from flooding the metal. A pink set turns a rose gold product monochrome. A neutral white card above the drive returned a clean highlight down its length, so the metal reads as rose gold rather than as a pink reflection.
Our Approach
Miniature flag kit
Small products get small tools: hand-cut cards and putty-held reflectors scaled to the drive, letting us place a precise highlight on the metal without touching the pastel set around it.
Set design by subtraction
Each frame started full and was simplified prop by prop until the eye landed on the drive first. What remains looks effortless but is the result of deliberate removal.
One palette, five compositions
The same pink paper, ribbon and props were rearranged across five frames, so the gallery reads as one coordinated campaign rather than five separate shots.
"Small reflective products are won or lost at the flag, not in retouch. If the metal reflects something beautiful at capture time, the file almost finishes itself." — June, Product Photography Team Lead

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you style tech products for a female audience?
Yes. We build the set around the buyer, not the spec sheet: vanity and stationery props, a coordinated palette, and shallow depth of field, while keeping the product itself the sharpest, brightest object in frame.
How do you photograph mirror-finish metal?
With small-scale reflection control. Cards and flags sized to the product shape the highlight directly on the metal, so the finish reads clean at capture and retouch is limited to dust.
Do styled sets work for marketplace listings?
They fill the secondary slots. The white-background main image comes first in a session, then styled frames like these round out the gallery and give ads and social their own assets.
A small product with a big finish?
Send it over. We will bring the miniature flag kit and a set design that makes a two-inch product carry a full campaign.
