A radar detector is all interface: buttons, display, ports, receiver lens, mount. The five-frame orbit was planned so each frame owns one surface, from the windshield clip to the I/O panel, giving the listing a complete walkaround with no repeated information.

Photography Challenges
1. Metallized gold trim that flips color. The satin gold accent trim swings between yellow and gray with light angle. Flagged cards fixed a consistent warm reflection so the trim reads as the same champagne gold in all five frames.
2. Every surface carries information. Buttons, port labels and the receiver lens all sit on different faces. The orbit was planned surface by surface so no frame wastes a slot repeating another’s content.
3. A hero chosen, not assumed. Two near-identical hero candidates were captured with micro-adjusted angles. The pair went to the client for selection, and the runner-up stays in the gallery as an alternate angle.
Our Approach
Surface-assigned orbit
Each frame was assigned a surface before shooting: mount, control deck, ports, side switch. The result is five frames with zero redundancy, which is what a five-slot gallery should be.
Flag work for the trim
Warm-toned flags were placed to hold the metallized trim at its designed champagne hue from every camera position.
Selection-pass hero workflow
Micro-variant hero captures let the client choose the exact angle with both options in hand, instead of committing to one guess on set.
"Small devices with busy surfaces need an editor’s eye: assign each frame its surface, cut every duplicate, and the gallery becomes a manual the buyer actually enjoys reading." — June, Product Photography Team Lead

Frequently Asked Questions
How do you plan a multi-angle small-device set?
By surface, not by angle count. We list what each face of the product carries, assign one frame per surface, and cut anything redundant. Five frames then cover the whole device with no waste.
Can you keep metallic trim consistent across angles?
Yes. Flagged cards hold a fixed reflection tone on metallized surfaces, so gold or chrome accents read identically from every camera position in the set.
Do you offer hero-angle selection?
Yes. We capture micro-variants of the hero and you pick from real options. It adds minutes on set and removes the risk of committing a whole gallery to the wrong lead frame.
A device with too many surfaces for one photo?
Send it over. We will map its surfaces, assign the frames, and deliver a walkaround with zero redundancy.
