Rotary-index multi-station press with articulated HMI arm

Compact C-frame servo press with upper touchscreen

Benchtop hydro-pneumatic press with orange control box

Heavy four-post forming press in yellow and blue

Precision heated-platen hot press with side console

Open-sided C-frame press with two-hand control bar

Six more machines from the same press catalog: rotary-index, servo C-frame, hydro-pneumatic and heated-platen models, shot in the identical template as their siblings from the earlier session, so the full range reads as one continuous document, page after page, year after year.

This session continued a press catalog under one rule: any machine from the range can sit beside any other on a page. Camera height, framing logic and the neutral lighting plan carried over unchanged, while fills were placed per machine for HMIs, pressure gauges and guarding interiors.

Photography Challenges

1. A template that outlives the session. Catalogs grow. Framing, camera height and light plan were documented so machines shot months apart match, and this set interleaves with its sibling session without a visible seam.

2. Six control philosophies. Touchscreens, analog gauges, two-hand buttons and stack lights all live on different faces. Each machine’s frame was angled to bring its control scheme forward, inside the shared template.

3. Mixed finishes at one brightness. Yellow powder coat, bare chrome rams, brushed boosters and grey cabinets sit in one frame. Fill and flags were trimmed per machine so every finish reads at matched page brightness.

Our Approach

Documented catalog template

The setup is written down: camera height, distance, light positions. Future machines drop into the same frame geometry without guesswork, which is how a catalog stays coherent for years.

Controls-first framing

Within the template, each machine is rotated to show its control face. The buyer sees how the machine is run, not just how big it is.

Per-finish flag work

Chrome rams get flagged highlights, yellow guards get neutral even light, grey cabinets get gentle edge control. One page brightness, honest materials.

"A machinery catalog is a long game: machines arrive over years, and the template has to hold. Write the setup down, guard it, and every new frame lands already belonging to the family." — June, Product Photography Team Lead

Frequently Asked Questions

Can new machines match a catalog shot months earlier?

Yes. We document the template: camera height, distance, light positions and framing logic. Machines photographed in later sessions land in the same geometry and the catalog grows without a visual break.

How do you photograph machines with different control schemes?

Inside the shared template, each machine is angled to bring its own controls forward, whether that is a touchscreen, gauges or a two-hand bar. The page stays uniform while each control philosophy stays readable.

Do mixed finishes like chrome and powder coat need special handling?

Yes. Chrome gets flagged highlights, powder coat gets neutral even light, and everything is trimmed to one page brightness. The materials stay honest and the catalog stays coherent.

A catalog that will keep growing?

Start with a documented template. Every machine you add later arrives already matching the family.
