The client is a sneaker brand selling on Amazon and Shopify. We photographed one women's platform sneaker model across multiple colorways and lace options, using graphic color-blocked sets in yellow, cyan, and red. The delivery supports secondary product image slots and brand storytelling, with no people in any frame. Every file includes a full commercial license for online store and marketplace use.

Photography Challenges
1. White uppers against bright color. The white mesh and leather could pick up a color cast from the yellow, cyan, or red backgrounds, and highlight detail could clip under bright studio light. We flagged the key light and exposed for the upper first, then let the backdrop stay saturated without flooding the shoe.
2. Transparent PVC panels. The clear side panels in the second image reflected both the cyan backdrop and the light source, which would muddy the shoe's structure. We used a controlled hard source from one side and a dark flag opposite so the transparent material read as a deliberate edge rather than glare.
3. Multiple colorways in one frame. Hot pink, yellow, and light-blue versions needed equal visual weight and a consistent sole line when arranged diagonally. We anchored them on one perspective line and used a yellow geometric block to fill negative space without covering any shoe.
4. Graphic shadows without mud. The third set needed a diagonal shadow on the red backdrop, but a soft shadow would weaken the composition. We set a harder directional light and adjusted its distance so the shadow stayed sharp while the white mesh still showed texture.
Our Approach
Color-blocked set design.
We matched each sneaker group to a high-saturation backdrop—yellow, cyan-blue, and red—so the white uppers and sole units separated immediately. White cubes, plinths, a bottle prop, ribbon, and a geometric block gave each set scale and direction without adding people.
Lighting for shape and surface.
A bright key established the form of the chunky sole and mesh upper, while black flags controlled spill on the colored backgrounds. For the cyan set we switched to a harder directional source to create the sharp, graphic shadows requested for the colorway group.
Retouching and Delivery.
Files were calibrated for sRGB and checked for color accuracy before export, with careful cleanup of mesh, sole edges, and reflections. We delivered 2000x2000px JPEG and WebP files organized for Amazon image slots and A+ Content, ready for Shopify product pages as well.
"We don't light the shoe alone; we light the space around it so the upper keeps its shape and the color stays honest." — June, Product Photography Team Lead

Frequently Asked Questions
How much did this sneaker photography project cost?
The three images are styled lifestyle scenes at $35 per image, so the total was $105. The 10% discount for 10+ SKUs and 15% discount for 30+ SKUs would apply to larger product ranges.
What is the typical turnaround?
Delivery is normally 5–7 business days after samples arrive and the shot list is confirmed.
Are these images compliant with Amazon footwear requirements?
Yes. The files are 2000x2000px sRGB JPEGs without borders, watermarks, or added text, and colors are matched to the actual samples. Because these are styled scenes, they fit secondary image slots and A+ Content; a white-background packshot is recommended for the main slot.
How do you make white sneakers stand out on bright colored sets?
We expose for the white upper first, use flags to control background spill, and choose a hard or soft key depending on the surface. For the cyan colorway shot, a hard directional light created sharp shadows that separated the three shoes and transparent PVC panels.
Do we need to be in Guangzhou for the shoot?
No. You can ship samples to our Guangzhou, China studio, and we can run remote art direction through shared proofs, shot lists, and live feedback during setup.
Can reorders stay consistent with this set?
Yes. We keep lighting diagrams, prop notes, backdrop colors, and export settings for each SKU, so additional colorways or future restocks can match the same Amazon and Shopify image style.
