Basin Mixer Tap Product Photography

The client sells a chrome single-lever basin mixer and asked AIMI Visual Media in Guangzhou, China to shoot it for online listings. The tap has a tall angular spout and a slim side lever, mounted on a white vessel sink. We shot 6 images in our Guangzhou studio: vanity scenes against a distressed white brick wall with soap, towel, and rattan decor, plus running-water demo frames on bright and black backgrounds, all under a full commercial license.

Photography Challenges

1. Chrome is a mirror with opinions. A polished tap reflects everything in the room. We flagged the set dark around the key lights, so the spout carries clean white streaks instead of a picture of our crew, and the geometry reads crisp.

2. Water has to look alive. A running stream turns a plumbing photo into a demo. We lit the stream against the dark frame so it reads as a glassy ribbon, and caught it mid-pour into the bowl, the frame that answers 'does it run smooth' instantly.

3. White sink, white wall, white soap. Three whites fighting each other. The distressed brick adds gray mortar lines, the cream towel adds warmth, and the sink keeps its gloss, so each white stays in its own lane.

4. The set must feel like a bathroom, not a lab. Soap on the ledge, towel over the rim, rattan in a vase: just enough dressing to say 'your bathroom', without crowding the chrome.

Our Approach

Vanity Scenes

The main frames put the mixer on the vessel sink against white brick, shot straight-on at counter height: the tall spout centered, lever catching a highlight, soap and towel softening the edges. This is the frame a buyer mentally installs in their own bathroom.

Running-Water Demos

Two frames open the tap: one bright scene with water arcing into the bowl, one on black where the stream glows like glass. Between them they prove function and give the listing its motion.

Retouching

All 6 frames keep the chrome honest: reflections cleaned to single highlight lines, water left natural, brick texture kept, and whites separated so sink, wall, and soap each read. Files went out at 2000x2000px sRGB in JPEG (quality 90) and WebP, ready for Amazon listings and A+ Content.
