The client sells vacuum-insulated flasks and asked AIMI Visual Media in Guangzhou, China for the editorial series: dramatic frames beyond the standard scenes. We shot 5 images in our Guangzhou studio: the black flask with a journal, gears, and fountain pen, the red flask in a red-on-black editorial set with its lid and strainer, and the white flask with a smartphone in a black tray, all under a full commercial license.

Photography Challenges
1. Red on black is a commitment. The red flask gets a red roll backdrop and red satin: a monochrome editorial set where the product is the brightest thing alive. Half measures would look like an accident, so the set goes fully red.
2. Three colors, three moods. Black goes executive with journal and gears, red goes editorial with satin, white goes minimal with a phone in a tray. Same bottle, 3 characters, each cast with its own props.
3. Glossy black doubles everything. The reflective floor mirrors every highlight. We light for the reflection as much as the product, so the mirrored flask below reads as a bonus image, not a smear.
4. Parts prove the build. Lid off, seal visible, strainer beside: the red editorial frame still carries the feature proof, because drama is no excuse for skipping the question buyers ask.
Our Approach
The Executive Frames
The black flask leans into the leather bag beside a gilt-edged journal, a fountain pen, and brass gears: a working desk at night. The parts frame opens the same bottle: cap, seal, and steel strainer laid out beside it.
The Red Editorial
The red flask lies across glossy black with a red roll sweeping behind and red satin above: one color everywhere, the product still the hero. The second red frame adds the lid and strainer, drama and proof in one.
The Minimal Frame
The white flask lies beside a smartphone in a black tray: 2 objects, one blue screen glow, nothing else. The quietest frame of the series, and often the one that stops the scroll.
Retouching
All 5 frames keep the drama honest: blacks deep, reds saturated without clipping, reflections clean, and steel highlights singular. Files went out at 2000x2000px sRGB in JPEG (quality 90) and WebP, ready for Amazon listings and A+ Content.
"Editorial photography is casting plus commitment: pick the mood, go all the way with it, and keep the feature proof in frame." — June, Product Photography Team Lead

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a 5-image set like this cost?
This set came to about $175 at $35 per styled image, all sets and props included. Plain white-background shots for main listing slots start at $12 each, and 10 or more items get 10% off.
How long does the shoot take?
These 5 images were delivered in 5 business days. Three moods in one session: the light recipe stays, only the props and backdrop colors change.
Can editorial scenes go on Amazon?
Yes, in the secondary slots, A+ Content, and your brand store, delivered at 2000x2000px. Main images must be the flask alone on pure white, which we add at $12 per finish.
Why go fully red for the red flask?
Because half measures look like accidents. A monochrome red set makes the product the brightest thing alive in the frame, and that is what stops the scroll.
Why keep the lid and strainer in the editorial frames?
Because drama is no excuse for skipping the feature. Buyers still ask how it works, and the parts in frame answer without a word.
Can you add more colors to this series?
Yes. The dark sets stay in the studio, so new finishes get their own mood, at the standard $12 or $35 per-image rates.
