The product is a single-loop wenwan bracelet in dark red figured hardwood with a simple tie cord, sold to buyers who care about grain quality and finish. The brief called for quiet, dark imagery that lets the wood figure carry the frame. All 12 frames were shot at the AIMI Visual Media studio in Guangzhou, China.

Photography Challenges
1. Dark wood on a dark set separates only with light direction. A deep red bracelet on slate collapses into one mass under flat light. A low raking key from the left raises the grain ridges and leaves the valleys in shadow, so the figure reads as texture rather than blur.
2. Gloss finish shows every fingerprint. Hand-polished beads record skin oil instantly. Each bead is wiped and handled with cotton gloves between frames, and the final frames are checked at 100 percent for smudge ghosts.
3. Scale is hard to read on a still life. A bracelet alone gives no size reference. Two hand-held frames anchor the set, cropped at the wrist so buyers get diameter and bead size in one glance.
Our Approach
Hero coil compositions.
Frames 01-04 coil the bracelet on dark slate with the raking key, rotating the figured face until the grain pattern leads toward the center of frame.
Grain proof macros.
Frames 05-09 move in with the 100mm macro at f/8, isolating single beads so buyers can judge polish and figure density up close.
Scale and wear context.
Frames 10-12 add the hand-held shots, keeping the same dark grade so the set stays one continuous story.
"Wenwan buyers read grain the way watch buyers read dials. Your lighting exists to make the figure legible, nothing more." — June, Product Photography Team Lead
