The client sells matching earring and pendant sets across several material families: warm yellow agate, classic pearl, and white and green jade pieces in silver-tone settings. The brief called for on-model white catalog frames that show each set worn as designed. All frames were shot at the AIMI Visual Media studio in Guangzhou, China.

Photography Challenges

1. Four material families, one bright system. Agate, pearl and jade each want different light. One white catalog recipe is tuned to flatter the most reflective family, with per-set exposure trims keeping every material honest.

2. Sets must read as pairs. Earrings and pendants shot apart look like different products. Three-quarter compositions keep both in frame, with the pendant and visible earring at matched focus.

3. White jade on white backdrop needs shadow. White jade disappears against the backdrop. A soft contact shadow is preserved under the pendant, and the stone is lit from the side so its edges stay drawn.

Our Approach

Set coordination frames.

Opening frames establish each earring-pendant pair on the model, both elements visible and matched.

Per-family coverage.

Middle frames rotate the agate, pearl and jade sets through the same composition.

Detail proofs.

Closing frames tighten to stone texture, settings and connector work.

"A coordinated set is one idea worn twice. The frame has to show the rhyme between ear and neckline." — Garbo, Director of Photography

Frequently Asked Questions

How is an on-model set session priced?

On-model frames start at $35 per image under our Growth package, with styling and retouching included and model fees quoted separately. All rates are starting prices, and the final quote depends on your requirements.

How long does the session take?

This session was delivered inside our standard 5-7 business day window: styling and fitting first, then per-set coverage, then retouching to one master.

Can you keep white jade visible on white?

Yes. Side lighting and preserved contact shadows keep white stones drawn, and files ship at 2000x2000px sRGB.

Can you add new material families to the same catalog style?

Yes. The recipe is documented, so new sets match the existing catalog without a reshoot of the system.
