Casual Watch Colorway Flat Lay Photography

The client sells casual fashion watches in multiple colorways: canvas and leather straps with printed, patterned dials aimed at younger buyers. The brief called for relaxed desktop flat lays that show every colorway in one system. All frames were shot at the AIMI Visual Media studio in Guangzhou, China.

Photography Challenges

1. Five colorways, one frame discipline. Colorways shot ad hoc look like different products. One desktop world, one prop map and one light recipe carry all five, so the variants read as a family.

2. Printed dials moire under the lens. Fine dial prints can moire at certain apertures and angles. The dial angle and aperture are tuned per model to kill interference while keeping the print sharp.

3. Canvas straps absorb light unevenly. Canvas texture goes patchy under broad light. A directional key rakes the strap so the weave reads as intentional texture rather than dirt.
